I have used a Norelco shaver for many years, this one S9731 is by far a let down. I replaced the shaving heads even after reading the poor reviews because the shaver is not cheap and represents a decent investment. The replacement cutting heads rattle as others have described, the top part of the head even pops off in the middle of shaving. I am very disattisified and soon I will be forced to buy a new shaver. Guess what, it won't be a Norelco.

I have not used the item yet, but it is a Norelco Series 9000 replacement head as advertised and the latest "improved" version at a good price. I'm taking a star off only because the delivery took longer than I'm used to. I will submit an additional review if the performance is not as expected.
Best on the market when new. Replacement blades so bad(after three replacement orders) throwing the expensive razor away and buying another brand.

The brand new blades in no way give me the same shave as what I got when I purchased the shaver. Right now I'm not getting much more of a close shave than my old blades that I'm replacing. Something has changed in the materials or design. At this price I'm very disappointed. Installation of the blades was not easy or obvious. Could be much better.
The blades wear out quickly - like 3 months and then I milk them along for another 3 till I fed up. My previous Norelco shavers' blades lasted 6 months before I began to notice wear. I make it a point to wash the head after use and clean in the machine just as the manual states. Is Phillips/Norelco now using lower quality steel in their blades? This is unfortunate as I have been a loyal Norelco user for over fifteen (15+) years.
I have used philips shavers for over 40 years, and I truly believe previous models to perform and provide me with a better shave. I have used this unit for almost a year now and use my older model at least 50% of the time to finish my shave I like the design I just don't think it performs well. orange plastic retaining clip keeps comming off during shaving I'm going to try and get another holder.
