Description

Discover longer-lasting hair removal for even the most sensitive areas, without using chemicals or wax. Philips Satinelle Prestige is a complete hair removal system with epilator, electric shaver, body exfoliator and massage attachment. Satinelle hair removal epilator is designed to use on the legs, bikini area, armpits, face, and whole body. It now has more hair removal power, with faster and more stable disc rotation, for Philips' fastest and most efficient hair removal compared with entire Satinelle range. Device also has intuitive usage angle for smooth epilation. Epilation provides longer lasting results than a shaver, leaving skin smooth and stubble free for weeks. When comparing with the cost of salon waxing sessions over a year, you 'll save thousands of dollars by epilating. Philips Satinelle will catch hairs shorter than waxing, so spend less time waiting for hairs to grow out. The epilator head 's 32 rotating disks are made from a unique ceramic material with a micro-ridged surface that firmly grab hairs as short as 0.5mm without pulling the skin. Any discomfort will minimize with regular use. The range of attachments included make Satinelle a versatile hair removal solution perfect for the whole body. It 's designed with 8 attachments plus a travel pouch, for customized and complete hair removal from head to toe. Attach facial and delicate area caps on epilator head to remove hairs on face, underarms and bikini line. Incorporate body exfoliation brush and body massager into epilation routine to help relax the skin and also prevent ingrown hairs. Drawstring pouch conveniently stores epilator with attachments.

There are better epilators out there

I was excited to try an epilator after years of shaving and messy waxing. This epilator came with several attachments and looked really nice compared to other brands. I let my leg hair grow for over two weeks before using this so the hair would be long enough to be grabbed by the epilator. However, only a few hairs were grabbed on the first go. It took me over an hour to do each leg and my legs felt raw and irritated after. Two weeks later, I had awful ingrown hairs and bumps all over which I will probably have scars from. I wish I had done my research before buying this one. I returned this one and purchased a highly rated epilator from another brand and I could not be happier. It took me 5 minutes to do each leg and my skin was not irritated and the hair grew back nicely without any ingrown hair. The ceramic tweezers on this Philips epilator are not strong enough to pick up hair and ends up just cutting most of the hairs below the surface which leads to ingrown hair and bumps.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Pros 1) The first thing I liked about the new Satinelle Prestige Cordless Wet & Dry epilator was that it is cordless. It definitely adds to the portability and less of cord hassles. I have used Philips epilator earlier and I always had a corded one, so this was a welcome change. The battery lasts quite a bit, I charged mine over a week back and it still has charge though I have used it. It has 2 speeds, of which I mostly used the higher one as I felt that was more effective and less painful. 2) Also it is a wet and dry one so I don't have to worry about the skin being dry before epilating. However, I did find it easier to epilate on a dry skin. For people using an epilator for the first time, it might hurt a bit, but I was okay with it. 3) The epilator results are good, it does give smooth skin on the hands and legs. However the hair needs to be long enough for better results. I epilated some short hair and could feel hair stubs on my hand for a few days, which softened as the hair grew back. 4) The shaving head is good for underarms and bikini line, gives smooth results. 5) The size is portable and very easy to hold. It has 8 pieces and the pouch which is nice. 5) The exfoliator is good with soft bristles which do not hurt and do a good job of cleaning the skin. 6) The heads can be changed easily. It does give a buzzing sound which will be audible in a quiet place, so limited privacy while using it. Cons: 1) While the portability is good, the shaving/epilating head base is pretty small and covers a small area at a time. Hence it is time consuming to cover every part of the body. 2) I wish the pouch was atleast a couple of inches bigger on all sides, definitely does not fit all the parts comfortably. 3) The massager is hardly effective, does not do much. 4) The epilator worked fine in removing hair from the face but it left an itchy feeling for the whole day so I would rather not use it the next time on the face. Overall a great product to have, saves salon time and money, is easy to carry, does not take a lot of space, and gives peace of mind in all situations.

Survey Says... It’s Good!

I received the Phillips cordless wet and dry epilator for free in exchange for my honest opinion and review. Here are my thoughts... When first opening the box, I have to be honest and say that I was a little intimidated. The “teeth” on the head looked like something that was going to eat my skin, LOL. The box was really pretty though and seem like something that would really work so I was optimistic nonetheless. I was really pleased to see that there were interchangeable heads that I can use with it, there wasn’t a one size fits all approach to this product at all. After charging it, (which I have to say, it charges really quickly), I turned it on and the sound of it was nothing short of scary. It’s really loud! There are two modes where it can be used in, at first they both are a little painful. You have to go over and area multiple times depending upon how here you are there, but the cool thing is it does have a light on it (so even in low light it still can be used). I preferred to use it wet versus dry, I think it’s a little less harsh on the skin, but the hairs being removed get stuck in it more when it’s wet (that could be because I have more hair in those areas, but not entirely sure). I am super impressed with how long it stays charged though. I’m not exactly certain what the battery life is supposed to be, but I’ve used it quite a bit and only have had to recharge it once. If possible, the only thing I would improve is the sound of it. It doesn’t allow for it to be used discreetly and could be mistaken for something else quite easily, LOL. Overall, I’m satisfied with it.

To Bare It All, Must Come With Ease

I finally used my free sample product for reviewing because I didn`t have enough hair growth when I received it. I only used the product dry and was easy to use. I only used the epilator since I needed to compare it to my existing brand, Emjoi. I liked the Satinelle, but didn`t love it. I liked that it was very convenient to charge, portable, and probably great for travel with to maintain touch-ups. The only reason why I said I liked it rather than loved it was because the rotating disks were not quite as fast as my Emjoi. The Emjoi also has gold plated disks that seem to grab hairs more securely (especially really fine hairs) and do not have to repeatedly go over areas so many times. The Satinelle was a solid alternative for me to use as a comparison, but will remain using me Emjoi (since 2001).

Good alternative to shaving or waxing

I have tried waxing before and it’s painful and expensive. I usually shave but it grows back quickly and is definitely a chore so when I was offered this epilator in exchange for my honest review I was happy to give it a try. I let my hair grow out a little thinking it would be easier but I think it make it a little more painful. I first tried to do it on my legs and it didn’t get all of the hairs but then I realized maybe I was moving it a little too fast. When I read the directions and modified the angle at which I was moving it and took it a little bit slower it did work well. I like that it has a light so it makes it easier to see what you were doing. But it still was moderately painful. I tried it on my under arms which was more painful but it did remove the hair very well. I tried it wet and that was less painful. I like that this can be used wet or dry and it does make clean up very easy. I then tried it on my face where I have a few stray hairs now and then. It worked well but again I think using it wet, just after a shower made it less painful than when I tried it dry. I was red and irritated but it went away after moisturizing. My only complaint is that there are a lot of loose parts and different attachments which was at first confusing to me. I did figure everything out by the instructions but I think the parts should be labeled and perhaps make separations in the box for the parts so they can be stored more neatly. Overall, I like this epilator. I think I will get better at it with more use and hope that with more use the hair will not grow back as quickly. I will definitely continue to use it and try more features. Thank you.

Doesn’t always grab the hair on first pass

I was given a free Satinelle Prestige Cordless Wet & Dry epilator, in exchange for a review. I have been using it for a couple weeks now and I’m a little disappointed. I expected it to be great! But it doesn’t grab the hairs as well as I thought it would. It’s not as painful as I expected, but you have to do the area a few times to get all of the hair. I’d rather have something hurt a little more and be done than have to keep going over the same area. I’m disappointed but it does get the job done if you take the time to go over the area a couple times. All in all, I’d say it’s just ok.

Effective Epilator, Shaver, & Exfoliator.

I received a free Philips Satinelle Prestige Wet & Dry Epilator to test in exchange for my honest feedback. When I first unboxed the device, I was pleased with the shape of the device and the size of the device. The device was wider on the top and tapered down toward the bottom of the device. That made the device easier to grip. The device was a good length and felt strong and sturdy in my hands. It was well built and looked as though it could last several years. The device came with several attachment heads that allowed me to epilate, shave, and trim my body hairs. It also came with attachment heads that allowed me to exfoliate and massage my skin. I really appreciated how multi-functional the device was and how seamless it was to set up the device. The attachment heads were easy to attach and swap out. The device operated smoothly. The first attachment that I used was the epilator head. I did not shave for a few days prior to testing the epilator head, so I had a few millimeters of hair present. I used the epilator head on my legs, arms, and underarms when my skin was dry. The epilator head did a decent job removing my hairs, but I had to run it over some areas a few extra times to fully remove all hairs. I did experience pain when using the epilator head. It felt as though someone was pinching my skin hard. The pain was uncomfortable, but bearable. I found that icing the area afterwards helped. There were additional attachments meant to make the epilation process more gentle, but I still experienced some pain when using those attachments. Even though the epilator head caused some pain and I had to run it over my skin several times to remove hairs, I still plan on continuing to use the epilator head. I actually found it to be less painful than waxing. It also kept my skin hair free longer than other hair removal methods like shaving. The second attachment that I tried was the body exfoliator head. I really liked this attachment and will continue to use it. I used this attachment on my legs and arms. The exfoliator head was more gentle than I expected and did a great job removing dead skin cells from my body. I noticed an immediate difference in my skin texture after using the exfoliator head. My skin felt very smooth afterwards. I only wish the exfoliator head was larger to cover more surface area and make the body exfoliation process faster. It also would have been nice if there was an additional exfoliating attachment for my facial skin. The third attachment that I tried was the massager head. I used the massager head on my arms, legs, face, and neck. According to the packaging, the massager head was supposed to relax my skin, but I honestly felt a bit uncomfortable and tense when I was rolling the massager head around on my skin. I do not see myself using the massager head again, because it really did not do much for my skin. The last attachment that I used was the shaver head. I used it with the trimming comb, because I wanted a closer shave. I waited a few days for my body hairs to grow out before using the shaver head. I used the shaver head on my legs, bikini area, and underarms. I was able to glide the shaver head easily across my skin and I experienced no discomfort. The shaver head did a good job shaving off my body hairs and did not leave me with irritated razor bumps. Overall, I think the Philips Satinelle Prestige Wet & Dry Epilator is a good device to have on hand to help remove unwanted hairs and to exfoliate skin. The only changes I would make would be to increase the size of the body exfoliator, so I could exfoliate a larger area in a shorter amount of time, and I would also replace the massager with a facial exfoliator. I did not find the body massager to be beneficial at all and I think a facial exfoliator would be more useful to users than a body massager.
