Nearly perfect fit, form and function. The only change I'd like to see would be to add a 'grippy' surface near the base of the brush to allow for easier removal with wet hands. Arthritis in my fingers makes this more of a challenge than it needs to be.
I love Philips Sonicare I am a loyal customer of Philips Sonicare over a decade, but I do have a challenge with number of brush head roaming around in the house, and also the base as it stop charging it become useless, I don't know what to do with them, as a lovey customer can I get some complimentary replacement either heads or base, my family use both e-series and the new one we just bought, as I said we love your products, great great dental care products, highly highly recommend to everyone.
I have the same complaint as some of the others, the head is defective. It comes loose at the base and makes a HORRIBLE noise and vibration where you can't even use the head. I was able to get a free replacement from Sonicare but won't be buying these again.
As Annie in California wrote: "There is a problem with the design of this brush head. The metal part at the base becomes loose and makes a terribly loud sound when the toothbrush is turned on. I've used several of these brush heads and have consistently had the same problem." They last about 30 days before the sound becomes deafening and makes one not want to use it. I have been using the Sonicare toothbrush for many years and have not had any problems with prior heads.
My spouse and I have used this toothbrush for almost a year and was pleased at first. However, I had a tooth chip because when the back plastic on the brush hit it while changing directions. Also, he has experienced more periodontal issues. We have used several sonicare toothbrushes and loved them but this one doesn't get five stars. I am also having very bad gum/teeth pain to the point I had to take pain meds, which I try to avoid.
I just got our first box of heads for two new Series 2 Plaque Control brushes. These are so much noisier than the ones that came with the toothbrushes. I put them on two separate brushes and both rattled and didn't just have the normal hum it used to have. I am now wondering how long they will last and if they are defective. For as much as they cost I expected better quality. Plus, one had a long bristle sticking out.
