Very well made and works extremely well. The key is placement. I have our antenna up high and on a book shelf about 10 feet from the tv. If you buy this antenna and have issues, just be patient and try different areas until it locks in to a strong signal. It will work with patience.

I have a upstairs apartment. The closer to the ceiling you install this item to the ceiling you get a better signal. I have a tension pole that goes horizontal, floor to ceiling with shelves.. I just put it on one of the shelves about 12 inches below the ceiling. I get like 46 stations. Its great.

The antenna picks up around 40 channels consistently inside when placed near a window with a pretty unobstructed view. That is a drastic improvement over our last one that picked up anywhere from 8-18 sporadically. We even pick up some Chicago channels, which are coming from nearly 70 miles away.

I needed an indoor antenna for my new TV (as the apartment enerally disallows outdoor ones). I saw this at Target a few days ago, but made a note of it to purchase later. That day came quickly with a big price drop, so I bought it. It does surprisingly decently, considering it's not amplified, and it has to "look" through another apartment toward the city's transmission towers. It's pretty good if you live or close to the city and don't need an amp (if you're only interested in the full power stations). The LPs will definitely need an amp and a lot more precise placement of the antenna.

No improvement. I am getting the same reception as I was before with a cheaper antenna. I live in a city where there are multiple tv stations so I should be able to get a clear signal. However, this purchase was very disappointing as I am not getting my local stations.

After trying many locations around our home, we eventually installed it in the attic, replacing an old Radio Shack antenna whose plastic parts had become very brittle by age. It works really well, despite the long coaxial cable from the attic to the room two floors below. The colors are really pleasant, perhaps a result of keeping it amplifier-free. In northeastern MA, we get about 30 usable channels.

I just purchased this antenna this morning for use in my camper (temporary office) as I needed a place to work during the day so I can get away from my family who is all stuck at home during the Covid-19 lock down. Anyway, having TV was essential so I don't feel like I am locked in a box. I have 3 other $20 antennas that I tried to get to work and all failed. If I stood and held them in a perfect spot I might get reception for a few seconds and that was it. I wondered if a more expensive antenna would really work or if I was going to just add another to the pile. I decided to give it a try and sure glad I did. Where I live obviously the signal is poor. When I picked up the box it was light weight and my thought was yeah right this isn't going to work, when I got home and opened the box I had a similar thought, but I plugged it in, did a channel scan and sure enough I received 12 channels perfectly. I am a skeptic no more and glad I got this antenna. If you are in the same boat as me I cannot say what your results will be but it definitely work for to the point that I took the time to create a Target account so I could write this review. My regular older antenna was getting me about 6 channels and always blurring out or cutting up. I had to constantly get up to change its position. It’s been about 2 weeks that I’ve used the Philips Antenna and let me tell you I’ve thrown the old one out. This new antenna gives me triple the channels. It’s so clear and haven’t had to change positions or anything. Great and easy to install. I plugged it in and did a channel search. Got so many channels I’ve never seen before. I’m still trying to figure out the best placement… I might actually end up moving this outside for better reception. One key benefit is that this is 4K! My current TV is 4K and picture quality is amazing from an antenna. The antenna itself is about a foot wide but it does have a low profile.
