I’m a pretty hardcore gamer and bought this mainly for Apex Legends. I’ve been using a sound bar for the past few years and love it but wanted a headset just for an extra edge of knowing exactly where the enemy is coming from.
Well I’ve been using this daily for the past week and I’m pretty bummed.
The sound quality is good but for $74 I expect it to be great. Footsteps sound muddled and I’m often looking around just to figure out where they truly are coming from.
Gun fire/explosions are good, but don’t blow me away.
The sound in general I find to just be mellow.
There’s an app in the ps store that lets you fine tune the sounds but I didn’t find that it changed much in my case but I could have been doing something wrong.
-It’s a really comfy headset. I have a big head, and glasses and this fits me perfectly.
-I didn’t notice this in the description, but it comes with a wire that allows you to use this with your mobile device, as well as other consoles like Xbox One, or if you just want to plug it into your ps4 controller instead of having it wireless.
-Wireless is wonderful. Works like a charm and hasn’t cut out or lagged for me once.
-Sound quality, already mentioned.
-Battery Life, only 7 hours on full charge. My friends headset last 20 hours, and while researching when buying I saw turtle beaches that lasted 15, so 7 is a bummer.
-Hidden chat mics. Note, I love that there’s no outwards boom mic, but the people I talk to do not. They say that I sound like I’m in a fish bowl across the room when I talk.
-Price tag. This simply isn’t worth what they’re asking. If it wasn’t wireless it would be worth $29-$39 for the sound quality alone.
Either go wired and get highend headset for cheaper, or spend more and get a better wireless one.
