We bought this chair for our newborn’s nursery. It is very comfortable for nursing and pumping. The only downside is it is difficult to come out of the reclining position if you can’t use your hands (ie holding your newborn or pumping).
The chair's back is tall enough for my 6'2" husband and myself (5'9"). The winged back is nice for resting your head. The chair isn't super soft and it tends to collapse forward if you don't want to lean back all the way. Given the price difference (in comparison to major furniture stores) and slim design, I rated it four stars.
We bought this chair in early October, while preparing our nursery for our mid-December baby arrival. At first, the chair seemed great—stylish, pretty comfortable, glides and reclines, nice high back. Then, after having our baby, we started to realize how horrible this chair is. The chair doesn’t stay reclined easily; it takes some effort and/or proper positioning of feet on the leg rest to maintain the reclined position...not the easiest task for a recovering postpartum mom trying to nurse. Also, the recline is not a smooth motion, it’s jerky and uneven...so it startles the baby when we move in/out of reclining position. Furthermore, the middle piece in the leg rest is made of what feels like thick cardboard. This wouldn’t typically be an issue, as it shouldn’t be a piece that receives much pressure or force, but in order to hold the recline, as previously mentioned, it’s required. It is going to snap. This chair is not comfortable. Every time I stand up from sitting in it, my back aches. I’ve fallen asleep in it (due to pure exhaustion while tending to a newborn in the wee hours of the morning...definitely not the inviting comfort of the chair) and each time wake with aches. I loathe this chair. It’s the worst purchase we made for the nursery. I intend to sell it (too late to return) and find something nicer. I am just hoping it’s not an expecting parent who decides to purchase it!
perfect size for small nursery. Color and style great for other rooms after no longer using in nursery. Chair is padded well for comfort, but not meant to sleep on, it's actually uncomfortable for that. U have to work a little for recliner to come out, but overall I'm happy with it.
Good chair so far. Came out of the box with what appears to be 2-3 inch wide grease stain on the side. Frustrating but too close to baby arriving to return, otherwise good fit for tall patents and reviews were accurate
Piece of junk - just like every other piece of furniture I’ve ordered for the house this year. The arm rests each have an area that is MISSING padding, so that left DENTS in the arms, which looks really bad. The back of the chair does not line up on one side. Because of this, you can peer right through it and see light. The back also doesn’t line up with the arm rest on this side. We tried to adjust this but it can’t be done. ANOTHER thing to return.
