Q: I just purchased the 4 qt. air fryer. The box says that one can cook at two different levels at the same time. But I don't see how that is possible as there was only one fry tray. How would that work

A: I'm sorry the PowerXL Vortex Pro Air Fryer 4qt only allows you to use 1 preset at a time. The adjustable tray height lets you place food closer to the heating element for broiling. You can also use it to make the total size of the basket smaller when cooking smaller quantities of food.

I received this on the weekend of Thanksgiving 2023. I wanted to give proper time to comment on its usage. Just know I read the reviews before I made the purchase - but decided to take a chance on getting it. The size of this does not take up a lot of counter space & I am confident in leaving it on the counter daily. The rubber pads don't always stay on the rack. Just know that with using the rack: the top & bottom cook differently. The bottom will cook slower. I have baked AND fried chicken, fish, turkey, shrimp, lobster tails. I've also baked a small pie, biscuits, eggo waffles, French toast sticks, garlic Texas toast,etc. French fries & tater tots air fry well. It also warms up food without drying them out. The defrost setting works fine. This air fryer is a very good investment. Just keep it thoroughly clean daily & follow the directions. This is a very good space saver. It is still working well and I'm glad I took a chance on purchasing it.

Do not purchase this!! It will stop working in a few months and the non stick coating will start peeling off. When you contact customer service they tell you to cut the cord in two and send a picture. Than later in the email they disclose you have to pay $30 to get a replacement. We bought this air fryer for $50 and it Doesn't make sense to pay more than half to claim your warranty.

After about four months of use and hand washing the coating has started coming off the basket and crisper. It was working great until be the coating came off. I don't think it's safe to use now. Very disappointed in the build quality of this product.

I got this as a gift from my sons 2 years ago. It has been a godsend, I used it almost every day. Last night it caught fire, not in the basket. between the handle and the basket, the fire came through and melted out the front. I had cleaned it earlier in the day, so there was no grease in the basket it was very clean and dry. Just wanted to share some of the dangers. I'm still getting another one, I loved it that much.

I purchased one of these two years ago and it worked great the entire time. The only reason we had to get rid of it was due to another issue and not the product itself. Let me tell you... the price is unbeatable and the air fryer works great...we were using it everyday for anything we could with no issues. I strongly recommend and give it 10 stars🥰

Very hard to get the drawer to go back in at right angle, feels cheap and you’re forced to pull it back and slam it in a few times before it actually fits like it should. Decent air fryer other than that issue and that it didn’t even make it two years with minimal use. Purchasing another but will not choose this brand again.

I had a Chefman for 4.5 years that just died. It traveled with me all over the country with no complaints. Target doesn't carry that anymore so I bought this one. Straight out of the box it got an E3 error in seconds without turning it on. The book doesn't mention E3 error but it says to call them for an E1 or E2. I wound up Googling it and that means it's overheating. I made sure all packing materials were removed so not something caught in it. I called PowerXL CS, got Alex. He said unplug for an hour. I told Alex that it had been unplugged for 3 hours and it happened straight out of the box. I kept him on the phone and plugged it in again, without touching the power button it began flashing E3 and BEEPING! Alex freaked out and started yelling for me to unplug it immediately. The device was hot to the touch, spelled VERY electrical so he said it was on the verge of catching fire. Alex told me to return it ASAP. Target is sold out but upon looking at CR this is NOT a good model. I'm going to find a better rated one, one that I won't have to have a fire extinguisher next to. I understand that anywhere from one to 10% of all electrical devices can be defective straight out of the box. However, I don't feel like taking a risk with this model again.

I've had this air fryer for just over a year and it died today. We do use it quite frequently but I did expect it to last longer than it has. There was no warning, it just stopped turning on. Prior to this, I would give it a good review. It's been easy to use and I would put water in the bottom and run for five minutes to clean it. I'm so disappointed.

If I didn’t mind loud beeping, this would’ve been at least a 4-star product. Unfortunately I do mind it, especially living in an apartment next to other people. I’ve used it once and already know I wouldn’t be able to stand living with its noise. On top of being incredibly loud, it doesn’t help that this air fryer doesn’t at least have a volume control. I’m going to return this product on my next Target run.

I had the 8qt given to me as a gift and it worked great, but I relocated to another state and decided to start over. Purchased this 4qt and while the size is decent it does not crisp up anything. To cook fries it takes 24 minutes the 8qt you had to watch bc it will burn your fries up. I think I will throw this one away or give away bc I like certain foods such as salmon crispy/dry some what and it just does not do it for me

It worked great for the first 2 months. Then last night on one of the few day I didn’t use it tried to kill us. The draw wasn’t even in and it hadn’t been used in 2 days. Whatever air fryer you buy don’t leave it plugged in when it’s not in use.
