The dishwasher-safe jug holder is colored red and stylishly stands out on the kitchen counter. You can now brew yourself a perfect cup of coffee every morning for a perfect start to your routine.
I am a recent convert to French Press coffee making, and I had a decent press, but this one doesn't take up a lot of space, looks great in my kitchen, and makes two jumbo mugs of coffee which is all that I need.
A few things to watch out for: the glass container is not secured in the plastic holder, as others have mentioned you need to remember not to use metal inside the glass container, and, the reason I'm writing the review: the filter is pretty fragile. After less than a year, the filter is cracking and needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, it's cheaper to purchase an entire new coffee maker.
I have been babying this cutie and have had no trouble with it so far. I don't use plastic in heat because of an allergy, so I have been stirring with a silicone straw. Perfect. I don't completely fill so I can keep the hot coffee from touching the plastic lid. It takes being careful when pouring but works.
I'm also one of those customers who was very excited to receive the new coffee press! It's my first so needless to say purchasing one is saving me time and money from stopping at coffee shops before work every morning! Super simple to use and I love the red.
This was a Christmas gift for my husband. He used it for the first time Christmas afternoon. It worked just like it was supposed to. The only thing I thought odd was that they said to stir the coffee with a plastic spoon because a metal one would scratch the glass. What? Its glass, my spoons don't have sharp edges, and my husband isn't just banging or scraping the spoon on the sides of the glass caraf. Glass should hold up to stirring with a metal spoon...right?
Just got it today, was so excited, but glass came broken. Still writing a review because 4 stars for being so dang cute. Retro looking. Very small. Total size of "the glass cylinder" is 6 1/4 height by 4 1/2 wide. Still am planning on ordering another one! 1 Question--It says to use with COARSE COFFEE. Can anyone recommend one from Target so I can order together please?
