I really liked this online, and the size works well for the intended space. but indeed mine did start cracking. Like a wine/whiskey barrel the tension causes it to crack but unlike those barrels this coffee table doenst have metal holding it together. So I have mixed feelings about this coffee table. on one hand its exactly what i wanted (another one i was looking at was $500) but on the other hard will it even last? i've had it less than month and its cracked in 3 places. very mixed feelings.
