Provides more than enough light for reading or needlework....It's small enough to fit comfortably behind a chair in a small room, yet the 100 watt bulb provides plenty of illumination. The brushed nickel finish and slim design make for a very contemporary presentation...The frame of the red silk shade, however, is brass and comes with a brass harp. The frame doesn't actually show and I used the silver harp and brushed nickel finial....Very, very easy to assemble, although I did ask for help with the harp....I would strongly recommend this beautiful lamp for it's versatility (can be used in any room) as well as for it's lighting capabilities.Pros: Easy To Clean, Convenient On/Off, Easy To Change Bulb, Artistic Design, Long Cord, Area Of IlluminationBest Uses: Bedside, Dark Corners, Reading, Decoration
