It is bigger than I had visualized--a puffy 14 inches looks bigger than 14 inches on a ruler, and it is rather heavy. The ears are firmly attached. It's just plain cute. I plan to store some small toys in it, such as pull-back cars and other medium -sized unusual, more scientific items such as a Phi Top and perpetual motion device.
I've bought two of these for my daughters and they love them

I loved everything about the kitty basket. The high quality hyacinth stems to the hand stitching. It's so darling and I want to get one for my granddaughter but it's very pricey. I didn't pay full price though. I only paid 89 for it.

Cat got inside the basket before I could get the cover on, Then she start clawing it so I took her out of it. Love it with the cover on it. Think it needs a better tail than just a pompom.
