Q: Is the mat non slip? Does it stay in place & is not a tripping hazard.?

A: Hello the mats have a non-slip bottom certified by the National Floor Safety Institute. The mat is constructed with no curl, beveled edges to reduce the tripping potential. Please keep in mind the thickness of the mat is .75 inches high.

Q: can these be used on heated floors?

A: Hello-We have tested our mats on most common flooring surfaces and to date we have found no issue. Heated flooring has not shown to reach temperatures high enough to have an effect on our mats. However, since we have not performed tests on your particular floor, we cannot guarantee there will not be an issue.

Q: I bought this mat for my kitchen hardwood floor and I love it, except that it accumulates water underneath and starts to smell. Do you have any idea why that's happening or how to prevent it?

A: Our GelPro mats are water proof, therefore if any spilled liquid becomes trapped under a mat, it may not dissipate and must be removed as soon as possible. When mopping your floor please ensure it has completely dried before replacing the mat. Exposure to moisture may cause mold/mildew and/or damage your mat and some types of flooring surfaces. The top surface of the mat may be cleaned with a mild dish detergent followed by a plain water rinse, however for the bottom you may use ONE part of a household bleach to TEN parts of water. A soft brush may be used to remove any mold or mildew. Rinse with clear water and dry completely before replacing on your floor. Please contact support@gelpro.com for more assistance.

This is my third Gel Pro mat. I have had it about 8 or 9 years now and it looks like new. My first two mats were The Elite series, and they were not nearly as good as the professional grade. They were not as comfortable, did not last nearly as long, and didn't have as long a warranty. Oh yeah, and they cost a lot more. Go with the professional grade. You won't be sorry.

Not like my original one that stays put. I bought 3 of these and they all travel on my wood kitchen floor. I have tried the rubber flexible "rug stop" pads but that doesn't work. Very frustrating. What gives?

The first time I stepped on this mat i instantly felt the tension in my back and neck disappear. I also noticed how my posture improved. I love this mat in my kitchen where I chop vegetables and prepare my meals. I can spend hours there and not feel tired. This is a true gift to myself. I love how my feet and toes feel connected to this mat, and overall body relaxation. So glad I treated myself to better living.

I bought one at regular price for in front of my kitchen sink and just loved it. Since this was for the stove area I decided to get a second and I just as pleased with it as the regular priced one. It has a tiny flaw on the bottom which can not normally be seen and was well worth getting. Would recommend to family & friends.

I purchased the same NewLife Brushed Earth mats in smaller sizes many years ago and they stayed firmly in place on my laminate floors until I pulled them up each week to scrub the floors. I purchased this NewLife Brushed Earth 20x48 mat to replace another less expensive GelPro mat that wouldn’t stay in place. I’m VERY disappointed that my new GelPro NewLife 20x48 mat slides all over the floor. The mat cushions my feet well, but not staying in place is a deal breaker for me, especially at the expensive prices of these mats. I don’t want to spend extra money on items to keep these mats in place that may or may not work and may mark up my floors. I don’t know what changed with the materials or manufacturing process of GelPro mats, but I regret this recent expensive, unfortunate GelPro purchase.

I love how much cushion this has. You can tell immediately when you step on it what it’s there to do! I love it. I like how clean it stays too. Planning to buy two more for my square shaped kitchen! I currently use this one in from of my prep area station and it stays put. No sliding around. I wanted to test it out first before investing in more.

I love this thing. I really feel a difference after standing on it to prep and cook versus when I was just standing on my hard tile floor. The only thing I wish I could change about it is the color. I thought it would be more of a cool gray and instead it's like a warm taupe.
