Q: How does it perform with well water?

Meh, the design is questionable and leaked

The design of this model is questionable. The water was fine for a while but then started to leak out of parts of the system (for example the “pur” logo on the front”. We ended up using this for less than a year, then switched to the quick release design with the filter that goes vertical, which worked out better as we would have issues with the filter getting in the way a lot in this orientation. I would choose the black quick release version over this one any day, it is less expensive and has been much easier to use based on the design of our sink.

Install was a bit Ticky at first…. none of the attachments worked….. but then we realized that it fit without using them. Just had to Level it with grooves n screw in. Perfect fit…. And has been Working Wonderfully for Well over a Month now. Very pleased so far with absolutely No Leaks! We Tested the water quality and found that Chlorine was “0” and Alkalinity -9.5 to 10 (higher than most Bottled water) Has saved us a good amount of Money Already!!

Convenient and good price

We have had this mount for 1+ months and it is not leaking - as many other reviews have said. Maybe it will in time? We haven't had to change the filter yet so I can't comment on that process, either. We are on well water and our water hits the trifecta: silty, hard, and high sulfur (smells like rotten eggs). This mount is doing the job while hubby is working on upgrading the whole house water system. I didn't even want to brush my teeth with our water beforehand but now I can even drink it. It's still not the best water, but I'm no longer gagging. That's an improvement, right?

Leaks in about 3 months

I am giving it a 1, because of the taste that it gives the water. I have purchased 3 PUR filtrations and they all only worked 3 months. They all began to leak and this last one leaked the worst and it was the most expensive. This product is cheaply made and doesn't last long. By the time that it's time to change the filter, it's busted. I have attached 2 images to show how bad it leaks.

Ours worked for a little over one year. Then the plastic sprung a leak so I have ordered a new one. Takes up less space than a pitcher filter and the water tastes great. For $35 you get what you pay for. This is not a high end water filter but it does the job for our family of 4.

Great water filtration system!

I have been using Pur water facucet mounts for years now. They make my water taste much better. I had to replace my old one after about 2 yrs-the light had stopped working & the seals started leaking. Pretty easy to install- it screws on counterclockwise & comes with 3 extra adapters. Cons- the replacement filters can be pricey, and when changing the filter, you have to get the sensor switch inside the unit to pop out. I use a flathead screwdriver to do this. I like the new color & it does come with 1 filter.

We’ve had several of these and they’re all trash. First the sensor will go, and then it will spring a leak. This all happens within a few months. The last one we had, the sensor didn’t even last past the first filter change. You’re better off getting an under the sink or whole house filter.

This is our second one (thought the first one was defected) each one only worked for a few months then the sensor no longer works. It shows you need to swap out the filter after only a few days or weeks of swapping it.

*red indicator light fix* Reach in a click the white elongated button so it is no longer flush. The indicator light will then turn green with the new filter. Mine sticks, but the product is not broken like others in previous reviews believe. This is the best filter system I’ve had and we’ve used them all because of our disgusting water. Zero filter made our water smell like fish, Brita only filtered a little to make it tolerable … this one makes it actually taste good.

purr filter plus

I was unable to use this new model it would not work on my faucet. I tried the attachment 1,2, 3 they were no help. I have use a purr filter system for 20+ years all I had to do was take the unit out of the box and snap it on to my faucet. Thankful when I return the Plus system to the store I found a different one took it home it pop right on, it is the Black Filtration system. the one I got I would recommend to any one, not he Plus system
