Exploded in My Oven and Ruined Thanksgiving
This Pyrex dish literally exploded in my oven while I was cooking for Thanksgiving. One loud bang, and suddenly there was glass everywhere — all over the oven, all over the food, all over everything. Hours of prep and groceries went straight into the trash. And here’s the thing people need to know: “pyrex” today is NOT the same as the old “PYREX.” The old stuff was borosilicate glass. The new stuff is cheap soda-lime glass that can shatter without warning. I wish I had known that before buying this. This wasn’t misuse. No sudden temperature change, nothing weird — just a normal oven. It still blew up. Honestly, it’s unsafe. I’m warning people because this could’ve seriously hurt someone. At this point, with how many of these are “exploding,” I wouldn’t be shocked if this company ends up getting sued. Do not buy this. Not worth the mess, the stress, or the risk.

I love the deeper depth for lasagne and casseroles in general. Just be aware that the handles are small. I am used to my 9x13 Pyrex with bigger handles, so when I went to take this out of the oven, I nearly dropped it. Need to get a good grip given the smaller surface area.

$8 cheaper than Amazon using my Target card can’t get any better than that. Oven safe and very well made. The lid is plastic so it’s definitely not oven safe but the glass is. I highly recommend buying it at online target instead of Amazon. Unless u wana throw $8 away.
