I couldn't really tell how big or small this thing would be when I bought it; I only did buy it because it was clearance-priced. Maybe it could use it as a knockabout bowl to eat out of. When it arrived, though, it turned out to be just the right size for two Betty Crocker potato mixes combined. It's also just right for bean casserole. I'm pleasantly surprised.

It is attractive to see the fruit from the side and we prefer only only one crust. The 9 1/2 size makes for a large size cobbler and it is nice a deep. I also use the dish for casseroles. Nothing leaks out on the sides with this dish. It is easy clean and goes from oven to table. Glad I have it.
