Great tasting, less processed oats

(would recommend)
5 out of 5 stars

These are great tasting oats although probably will take some getting used to for some. Compared to the regular oats, these look very different like small pebbles, and they are less processed which is good in my book. They take somewhat longer to cook that I can certainly deal with. Serving size is...see moreof the reviewer's review

I'm retired so I have all the time in the world to cook these. I have been eating Quaker Rolled Oat for years, and I just saw these (Steel Cut Oats.) the other day in the store. I cooked them just as the directions read, and they turned out perfect. I love the creamy and chewy texture. ( I added 3/4...see moreof the reviewer's review

Green slime

3 out of 5 stars
Jughead 11 months ago
During the 30 minute cooking time for Quaker steel cut oats a green slime appears. At first I thought it may be a bad batch unfortunately it happens each time. This doesn't happen when cooking other products so the water likely isn't the source. Any thoughts before I ditch this product?see moreof the reviewer's review

I love these oats. I find them very filling I often make them for more than one and less than three. Can you provide a recipe for servings of 2 and 3. I know I can't simply half or double the recipesee moreof the reviewer's review

Just love Irish oats

5 out of 5 stars
ByrdiLou 1 year ago
These are the same as Irish oats as long as you don't buy the 3 minute cooking type. We are Irish oats as kids and when I discovered these steel cut oats I knew they were a winner. I tried the 3 minute ones and did not like them, too mushy not enough chew but the regular steel cut oats are perfect...see moreof the reviewer's review

Thanks to the work of Dr. John McDougall, and Forks Over Knives, I am on a whole foods plant-based diet, lost nearly 80 pounds and have never felt better in my life. I used to eat a lot of rice but am most concerned about the inorganic arsenic issue in rice such that I have eliminated it from my di...see moreof the reviewer's review
