Q: How does this headboard fit with standard bedframes? The brack holes seem much too high for a standard frame. Where is the diagram mentioned in the answer below?

A: It doesn't match standard bedframes. I'm now taking mine back and it doesn't fit in our SUV. Need to rent a truck. Terrible purchase.

Q: Why do you say box springs are needed? Is the headboard not compatible with a platform bed and mattress?

As the other reviewer said, the holes are way too high to match a bedframe. It's at the height of the mattress. Gonna have to hire a handyman to rig something up to make it attach to the bedframe. Avoid unless you want a difficult installation.

This headboard cannot be attached to a standard queen bed frame. The holes where the screews go are way too high. Looks like it was built to be used with a footboard not with just any standard bedframe. Very disappointed and frustrated.
