Q: Do these have soft or medium bristles? My gums are too sensitive for anything harder than soft :(

submitted by LucieH - 3 years ago
  • A: quip Toothbrushes have a soft-bristle brush head which is powered by a single AAA battery.

submitted byEmma - 3 years ago
  • A: They are soft bristles.

submitted by - 3 years ago
  • A: The answer is subjective. Soft does not really have a specific definition. I would call them medium using Colgate toothbrushes as a baseline.

  • A: they are solft but do not buy this brush. absolute scam

Q: Hi! I recently bought a Quip electronic toothbrush. How do I sign up for the 3 month plan which automatically sends me new batteries and brush heads?

submitted by Kathryn - 3 years ago
  • A: Included in the packaging is a code you use on the quip website to subscribe. I bought one at target and there was a small square insert with the code and instructions

submitted byAnonymous - 3 years ago
  • A: Online. You can only buy them from the quip site

    submitted byDeadshot222 - 3 years ago
  • A: You can sigh up at Quip's website if you are ok with providing your credit card # to a company who does not have a phone number to call if something goes wrong with your shipment, your billing etc.

submitted byEdgar in Austin - 1 year ago
  • A: i wouldn't do it. total scam.

Q: How do you stop mold growing on the tube and brush?

submitted by leighwee - 2 years ago
  • A: Wash it with antibacterial soap and hot water, dry it when you’re done using it and put it inside it’s brush guard when finished brushing.

submitted byKamijouKuro - 2 years ago

Q: Can I use those while having braces ?

submitted by Braces - 3 years ago
  • A: Absoutley! Just please note that soft bristles may wear out more quickly with braces; you may need to replace your brush head more often!

Q: my quip stopped working 2 weeks in. battery and head replacement did nothing to help. Is there a warranty on this item?

Love our brushes (adult and kids) and find it super easy to use and especially refreshing to not have to think about when to change out brushes - it's there in our mailbox when we need it!

Not Waterproof

Christian - 9 days ago, Verified purchaser
It works maybe like 60% of the time, and there is always a weird gap between the head and body. Also, you can’t get water in that gap. Who makes a non-waterproof toothbrush?? Just get any other toothbrush.

Skip if you've ever hsd a Sonicare

RoxLA - 1 month ago, Verified purchaser
I wanted to love this as my travel toothbrush but considering I have a Sonicare, there is just no comparison. This is literally just a manual toothbrush whos handle vibrates. You are still doing all the work yourself. If you’ve ever had a real electric toothbrush, you will not be impressed. Cleaning wise, it does an ok job but there really is no comparison. This is one step above a regular old toothbrush really. 10 out of 10 for aesthetic. It’s slim, sleek and the holder/cover are just perfect. I wish sonicare was able to make some thing a little slimmer and more attractive for travel. Maybe one day. Until then, I will be lugging around my Sonicare on vacations I guess.

I brush my teeth much better since I got quip. I know exactly how long to brush, and I get a new brush head every 3 months. So convenient. My checkups have been so much better. I’ve been a quip user for a long time.

Difficult to change head, metal body is sharp if it comes loose.

The tooth brush itself is fine… but it is very difficult to change the head out. In my attempt I ended up pulling the metal covering off the body of the brush. When I went to slide it back up it sliced my finger open… I tried to glue the metal cover of the body back on and now it doesn’t line up perfectly… not the easy toothbrush head change I was expecting out of a reusable toothbrush.

I’ve been using this brush for over a year now. Absolutely love it’s sleekness compared to other electric brushes BUT it’s almost impossible to remove the brush head for replacement/ battery. So much so that I will be purchasing another brand after my current brush head goes bad.

The battery runs out really fast, and also replacing the battery and opening the battery capsule is highly difficult, I broke the inside linings twice attempting to replace the battery.

The package arrived but the flosser package had been previously opened. Also, at the bottom of the package mouthwash was spilt over a toothpaste and inside the package.

Ultimate Subscription!

AndiMD - 2 months ago

This quip toothbrush is the ultimate subscription! Not having to worry about going to the store and deciding which toothbrush is the best for me is worth its salt. I like the bristles on the toothbrush knowing that I am getting some additional flossing in while brushing is amazing. I also like the sturdiness and weigh of the handle. I have to also mention support. I had my original toothbrush for several years and it finally stopped working. I logged a support case and had zero issues with them resolving my case. I will continue my subscription as long as the offer is available.

Works well but may break when replacing the battery

The paper instructions did not say how to remove the brush head without damaging the body. Had to find instructions on YouTube. The toothbrush head is tough to remove and in one or two tries the plastic tip of the body was damaged. Would want to see a better design solution for a more foolproof brush head removal.

Hard to Change Toothbrush head

colby - 2 months ago, Verified purchaser
The bristles were really rough compared to my Phillips Sonicare, but I continued to use it since I spent $40 on it. When it came time to change the toothbrush head, it was so hard to remove I was afraid I would break it. Then when it came time to change the battery, I did end up causing a crack because it was so hard to remove the head. After just 6 months of use the toothbrush no longer works. Waste of money, I'll go back to Phillips.

Not worth it

dsheets - 2 months ago
An expensive toothbrush. No noticeable changes from a regular brush and with a lot of flaws. The vibrations have no real effect due to the design of the toothbrush, it basically vibrates your hand and not the bristles. The brush heads do not stay on and snap off with the slightest twist or bit of force (not great for brushing your teeth). Additionally, a big appeal to me of this brush was reducing excess waste from buying new brushes all the time, but their subscription package uses an insane amount of packaging for one small brush head and a battery. The pick flosser has the same problem and also doesn’t even hold the floss long enough to get it between your teeth. On top of that, the subscription used to be $5/month and now it’s $5/month plus shipping. Not worth it at all.

Not worth it you’re better off with a rechargeable one. - they go through the batteries fast - it’s a pain to change out the batteries and the heads -the buttons get weird after a while Upside: - slim design and cheaper brushes
