Q: What is 'natural flavors'? Because my cat who I only serve quality wet food refuses to eat for days after tasting the neighbor's stray cat Nutrish offerings. There is nothing natural about a cat going berserk over two year old dry over fresh chicken!

submitted by nuts - 4 years ago
  • A: In general terms any food called "natural" seems to just mean it's food unlike the manipulated sugars in your favorite junk foods for example. Fresh is ALWAYS better but not everyone is able to provide their pets fresh. I've found this brand to be a good cost/ nutrition tradeoff but the manufacturing process of dry food does boil away many beneficial nutritionists to increase shelf life.

  • A: Good question, thank you for reaching out! Natural flavor enhances the taste of your pet's food, however, information regarding specific natural and artificial flavor components is considered proprietary to our recipe. Hope this helps!

In the last few months it seems the price for the large bag has almost doubled and my cats are less satisfied. Eating double the amount. What was changed in the product?

My dogs absolutely love this dogfood. Its the only one we get. My girls are 9 years old. And have been eating it for the past 6 almost 7 years. I recommend it for picking fur babies for sure. And we have it shipped to us 1 time a month. Even my cat likes it and she is even pickier then my dogs.

I have three cats that have picky diets and we wanted to find something that was nutritional, but didn’t want to break the bank. I saw the Rachael Ray brand and decided to give it a try. My cat’s absolutely go crazy for this food. They try to rip open the bag and dig in as soon as we bring it through the door. It seems to keep them full and I haven’t seen any negative reactions with them eating this food. I would definitely recommend this product if you have picky eaters.

My puppy love this brand. He was getting super picky for a minute and all the sudden stopped eating another brand that was more expensive but had similar ingredients so we tried this and he was more than happy to eat it. I find the ingredients phenomenal and the price is awesome.

My little Havanese seems to enjoy this brand of dog food. She can be a bit picky about dog food but this one usually does the trick. Definitely give it a try!

My 5 year old cat is very picky about food, and he loves this. It's a bit on the more expensive side, but worth it since it has natural ingredients and he likes it so much. He devours this food as soon as we put it in his dish, and he has not done this with other dry food.

Dramatic Improvement In Coat

5 out of 5 stars
Twinklesmom - 7 months ago
originally posted on nutrish.rachelray.com
My sleek kitten developed a dry coat after she was spayed 6 years ago. I have been feeding her Purina Naturals with chicken for the last three years. She loved it, but was vomiting her food mixed with hair balls every third day. I tried Blue Buffalo, but it is hard and sharp, and cut her mouth. So I saw what I thought was "Nut-Rish" Chicken and Brown Rice. It looks suspiciously like Blue Buffalo, but did turn out to be easier for her to eat. Within a month I noticed that she was vomiting fewer hair balls. After less than three months there was virtually no shedding at all, no hair balls, and no digestive issues. Her coat is smooth and glossy. The thing is, I have never had a cat that would eat either indoor or hairball diets. I got the benefit of both formulas in one, in the chicken and brown rice combo she prefers, at an extremely reasonable price. I even donated two bags to a local shelter. I have sheltered and adopted over 20 cats, both indoor and feral so I know the appearance of a healthy cat. This is fabulous cat food.

I discontinued getting this after I found out that there is the possibility of heart failure due to some of the ingredients in this cat food. Plus my cats were having awful issues in the cat box. Switched to another brand and things are all around better.

best pet food I found

I have both cats and a dog> I started off with RR wet cat food and broth for my cats because my cats love that for a treat but are very sensitive when it comes to wet food. they absolutely loved it. It took me a while to try the dry food because it cost more then what I have in my budget for pet food for my cats and dog. I decided to try the RR dry dog food a few weeks ago because my normal dog food was out of stock. Maizie loves it and my cats refused to eat their dry cat food and started eating the RR dog food instead. I was shocked. I am so impressed with all of RR pet food that now I will only buy RR dry/wet/broth/treats for all my pets. I will recommend her pet food to everyone. thank you RR you have my have made my household extremely happy
