Q: Is this rug machine washable?
A: Hi Kate, routine vacuuming and removing stains promptly are recommended. While we don't necessarily recommend throwing this rug in a washing machine, if you proceed in this direction, our advice is to make sure the rug is completely dry before laying it back on the floor again!
submitted bySAFAVIEH Product Expert - 6 years agoBrand expertA: I love this rug and was so upset when our dog made a giant mess on it today. Spot cleaning wasn't an option, it was all over and too much to do by hand. I was about to just throw it away, but figured I might as well attempt to wash it. I spot treated with Oxy stain spray first and then threw it in our top loader, and then in the dryer. It came out beautifully, and very soft! I don't know that it would hold up to doing this repeatedly, but at least it's an option for the occasional massive mess. Came to leave a review because I was so impressed!

Q: Can you tell me the pile height? It says flat pile but I need a measurement if available. I have to ensure a door will glide over the rug in my bathroom.
A: Hi there, there is no pile since this is a flatweave rug but the thickness of the rug should be around half an inch. Hope this helps!

Q: Since this rug has white in it I would think it looks dull after a while and loses it's brightness. If throwing in the washing machine is not recommended how do you suggest keeping the white clean?
A: Hello TG! We recommend spot cleaning or professional cleaning. Please view our cleaning guide here: https://safavieh.com/rug-care-and-cleaning.

Q: Hi I just got the navy Ramona rug and I spilled water just water on it and I went to go dry it up and the navy bled into the white so now the rug is ruined...... so pretty much the rug can never have spills on it or it’s done for? Any suggestions??
A: Hi Emma - To clean spills, use a clean cloth and press firmly to absorb as much liquid as possible. It is important to not rub. This can set the stain deeper into the rug, making it harder to remove and increasing the chances that the stain will re-appear. For stains, make a solution of water, white vinegar and mild detergent. Apply the foam that rises to the top of the solution on the stained area with a clean cloth. Finish using a damp, clean cloth to absorb any residue. For lighter stains or spills on synthetic yarns, sponge clean the area with cold water and mild detergent. For harder to remove stains, professional rug cleaning is recommended.

Q: I saw a post claiming that the gray was actually more green. How true is the grey color?
A: Hi there, the gray in this rug is closer to a cooler gray than green but please be advised at your discretion.
