Q: I'm new to MCT oil. Would this brand also be good for cooking? I have some stir fry recipes that call for it.

submitted by robinwo - 1 year ago
  • A: Hello Robin. The great thing about Rapid Fire MCT Oil is that you can use it for a variety of different options, for pretty much anything you could use vegetable or olive oil for. For instance, MCT Oil is great for salads because it doesn't have a strong taste, mixes well and adds functional medium chain fatty acids to your salad dressing. It can also be used in baking, as it provides moisture and nutrition when used in any recipe. (Note that much of the research on the fat-burning and energy benefits of MCT Oil was done using baked goods for delivery.) Finally, adding Rapid Fire MCT Oil to coffee is a great Keto start to the day to rev up your metabolism. Enjoy the many possibilities!

  • A: Robin, you can definitely use Rapid Fire MCT Oil for stir fry recipes and other cooking applications. It is especially good for baking, but can be used in any way you would use a vegetable oil on the stove, in the kitchen or on the table. Plus it provides functional fats in the form of medium chain triglycerides, which have been shown to promote burning of body fat, improve metabolism, increase healthy energy and promote cognitive function. Good luck!

Q: Is this 100 percent caprylic acid triglycerides or blend of capric and caprylic acid triglycerides?

submitted by Mary Ann - 3 years ago
  • A: Hello Mary Ann, thanks for your interest in Rapid Fire MCT Oil. Please note that the MCT Oil is a blend of 99% Caprylic (C8) and Capric (C10) acids, with trace amounts of Caproic (C6) and Lauric (C12) acids per the MCT oil processing procedure. Rapid Fire MCT Oil is made using an advanced fractionation process that employs steam distillation to extract the desired MCTs from pure coconut oil. No chemicals or solvents are used in the extraction and separation procedure, which yields ultra-pure MCT Oil.

The oil seems to be fine, the only issue I had was with the lid. This is replacing a bottle I had before with a squeeze top lid with a tiny hole and you could squeeze just a few drops out at a time. The hole in this top is huge and it’s impossible to get a few drops, you actually get a pour. And if you try and do it slowly to just get a few drops in a cup of coffee, it dribbles all over down the side of the container. A small thing but still very aggravating to me. This will encourage me to use it more often in smoothies and other things where I want more than just a drop or two, but if I’m trying to do just a cup of coffee, it’s just doesn’t work unless I want a big pour(or a mess to wipe up) in my morning Joe.

I've been using MCT oil for a while. It gives a nice natural energy boost and helps your body feel "full", which helps with weight loss. This MCT product is pretty good. It is flavorless and odorless, which is great. It does leave a slight film on the drink but if you stir the drink before taking every sip it's fine. I'd recommend.

I LOVE this MCT oil!!! If you are Keto then this is perfect for you! I just add it to my coffee and that is my breakfast! It makes me full and keeps me going until lunch! It doesn't change the flavor of my coffee either. I can't taste it at all! It mixes really well too. Usually other brands needs to be blended in with a blender but this one mixes well enough without using a blender!!! I will be buying this brand for now on!!! Perfect for when I am on the go and get coffee somewhere other than home!!!

I had a great experience using MCT oil, as I use it weekly in my morning coffee. It is clear, odorless and tasteless and I feel that it is safe to use. It does provide an energy boost and does help curb your appetite. It may take some time getting used to the consistency of your coffee, but it ends up creamy and mixes well. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a safe supplement.

It is just as it claims. No odor, no weird aftertaste, very easy to mix on with your smoothie. It does not harden or get clumpy when cold in your morning green drink. Does make the hot coffee a little oily_it is oil. 4 stars because the bottle gets a little messy. Great product though.

Rapid Fire MCT oil is a great product to have on hand! Odorless and tasteless although I wouldn't mind the taste since it's made from coconuts. Mixes easily with hot or cold beverages which I like whether I'm having hot tea or cold! Can also be added to food like salad, yogurt etc. Just 1 tablespoon a day and no refrigeration. Great way to get functional fats with sustained energy into your diet!

This is the first time I’ve used MCT Oil. I do like that it’s meant for energy and is made from health coconut oil. I mixed 1 tablespoon into a cup of unsweetened iced tea. I could feel the oil in my mouth and I did have done oily residue on my lips. I took a walk around our neighborhood and did feel full of energy. But I also noticed I had some acid reflux and belched a bit which is not something I normally experience. I do not know if the oil had caused this or not. I will definitely use it again when I feel like I need a burst of energy. But I’m not sure I would use it regularly.

Gives an extra, healthy boost of energy to my morning coffee without adding any sugars. It actually makes black coffee more smoother to drink. I’m satisfied with the clean ingredients and plan on using for homemade salad dressing next so it’s very versatile!

I was really looking forward to try this because I needed something to help me get some energy to chase after the kids and this definitely help. Rapid Fire Coffee MCT Oil is good. I can't give it 5 stars because it has a mild taste and is oily. You must get use to it. So instead of a hold tablespoon I use half in my morning coffee and I haven't had any problems. It's a taste you get use to in time and I do feel more energy when I take this. I appreciate is odorless and colorless. I even add it to my shake and notice less oil feeling on it.

When I first saw the nutrition information on the bottle I wondered how adding 120 calories to my daily coffee was going to help me lose weight, as this product claims. And it didn’t. I’m a busy mom of four who doesn’t get nearly enough sleep so i could really use some extra energy, appetite suppression and weight loss, so I thought I would try this MCT oil. I’ve been putting it in my coffee once a day for two weeks and I’ve noticed no difference, but I have gained a couple of lbs. It says it is colorless and odorless, and I agree. Somehow it does add a nice little bit of nutty flavor to my coffee, but it’s not nice enough to be worth 120 calories.
