Purchased this for my 8 yr old son for Christmas. It is already in the trash. Didn’t even last three months. Absolutely ridiculous for the price. First the back wheel started making horrible sounds, my husband being an engineer, took it apart and some of the magnetic pieces had broken apart. He was able to fix it enough to keep it going for a little bit longer and then the back wheel just fell apart. Cute idea, now I see is a gimmick and will never purchase another one. All plastic and will not last.

There's a lot of reviews about the battery dying. Since you have to be careful and follow the instructions for charging the battery I'm guessing the battery is tempormental. It would be good if Razor made it so we could replace the battery if it died instead of being stuck with a dead scooter and having to trash it. Just and idea.

What more could a kid ask for? It does take some practice with steering and maneuvering. My 10 year old was persistent with practicing and finally got the hang of it. My 7 year old hasn't done much with Razors and needs to practice on the non-electric versions first. We loved how you could connect your music and the lights would interact with what you played. It does need to be charged prior to each time you ride. We did not make it through with the second day of trying this out. It's quite a beast to lift and would recommend adults to help with that. In the end, the kids LOVED it.

We got this for our 6 year old and it has proven to be an awesome scooter in our hilly neighborhood. It picks up speed easily and can zoom up our large hills. The only downside that we have found is the blue tooth range isn't great so even riding around the school parking lot loses connection. Otherwise we have really enjoyed it.
