Regionalism and Integration in Africa : EU-ACP Economic Partnership Agreements and Euro-Nigeria
About this item
There is a new wave of regionalism and regional integration at both horizontal and vertical levels in Africa. While North-South regional agreements have proliferated, mega agreements involving developed countries are also being formed. The resurgence of regionalism is borne out of the current political logjams that have characterized the governance of multilateral trading systems over the past fifteen years, including EU-ACP Economic Partnership Agreements. This book critically examines Euro-Nigeria relations within the context of the Economic Partnership Agreements in terms of their political and economic implications on Nigeria's non-oil exports sub-sectors. Set within one of the main objectives of the Economic Partnership Agreements, the book also interrogates the prospects and challenges of regional integration in Africa under the regime of transnational accumulation, which the Economic Partnership Agreements represents.
