This crimper works very well in my child’s hair. It gives the hair a nice wave and stays all day. However, the crimper does not like my hair. I went from stick straight hair as a kid to “life has happened” natural uncontrollable waves. The texture of my hair is also different cause of starting to go gray. This crimper did crimp my hair but after about ten minutes my hair fluffed out like I was electrocuted. So, all in all, great for the kids but not so great for me. One star off do to the fact it does not lay flat unless it is locked. I am not going to lock and unlock while crimping so I just lay a silicone pad down and put it on there till I am done.

It's not bad, I just found it had the same effect on my hair as having a braid for an hour. The final result was messy-looking, the waves weren't distinct enough and would loosen up pretty much right after being done with one section. Might be my hair type, I'm not sure. I think this will look best on shorter hair - mine is very long and thin, it makes it look strange somehow. In the end I decided I will return it and get a curling iron for the same price instead.

I love this crimper! My hair is really fine, so I have a hard time getting it to keep a curl. With this crimper, my hair will stay styled all day long. The shipping was so fast. Love it.

Bought this bc it had good reviews but I was not a fan of it. My hair short but really thick so it still would take a while to do my whole head. I would have to grab smaller sections for the waves to really come through. I think it would work better and faster with thinner hair. I had to return it bc I couldn’t see myself using it.
