It's the weight, not the capacity

These glasses are great. Simple, classic, and Riedel. I didn't buy them for a while because I like large red glasses and the description said these are 12.63 oz (way too small for a red wine). When I saw them in person I realized it was a mistake and I bought a set. They actually hold 18 5/8 fl oz. ...see moreof the reviewer's review

Reidel Vivant Red Wine Glasses

I purchased these red wine glasses for my home and really feel like these are similar to the type you'd get at a classy restaurant. They are made of thin glass and have a very elegant feel to them. The price is very reasonable for such a decent set of wine glasses. I like them so much that I also pu...see moreof the reviewer's review

I've had a set of eight of the red wine glasses for four years or so. I use them about once a week. Moved them from Florida to Michigan without a problem (but then I'm a monster when it comes to packing dishes and whatnot...). Unfortunately, I just broke the first one of the eight. My fault complete...see moreof the reviewer's review

Great wine glass, especially for the money

I've wanted Riedel red wine glasses for years; specifically I wanted their Vinum collection. My wife got me these Vivant for Christmas and they are fantastic. IMO they are most similar to Vinum Bordeaux [...] I love using them; the shape of the glass is pleasing to hold, great for swirling and watch...see moreof the reviewer's review

Nice, but VERY fragile

As a wine industry professional, I try lots of different types of wine glasses and Riedel glasses typically set the bar for quality. However, these glasses are constructed with glued-on stems. The stem is joined to the bowl of the glass with glue which easily becomes unglued. This happened to 3 out ...see moreof the reviewer's review

Cheap new design!

Riedel has redesigned these glasses, so they no longer have the quality hand-blown bowl with a thin rim that made them a great value. The design is now completely machine-made, with a thick bowl that makes them cheap and low quality. They are no different from Libby or other factory form wine glas...see moreof the reviewer's review

Extremely thin and fragile!

These glasses are very pretty and a nice size but they are so thin and fragile they are almost unusable. I ordered these as a Christmas gift for my husband, they arrived completely shattered. Exchanged for a new box and one month later 2 of the 4 are already broken. One broke in the dishwasher, the ...see moreof the reviewer's review

Nice but break easy...

We got these wine glasses in October and in 5 months- 3 of the 4 glasses have broken. They are cheap and often break at the base or stem. We will have to go with a different wine glass to replace them because it is not worth buying these again.
