RIG MG-X Wireless Mobile Controller for Android Phones

You get to turn your phone into a mini video game console and take it with you wherever you want while still being able to play all the games. It’s nice to have around, and a pretty fun way to pass some time.

The game controller is comfortable and the buttons are placed similar as the xbox controller. In addition it has the capability to use for large phones. Compact and very versatile, I highly recommend.

The triggers are quite strange but I've been able to get used to them over time. My fingers hurt if I play for more than an hour, but I am not sure if that is due to the size of my fingers or the actual quality of the product. Luckily, I rarely play for more than an hour unless I am on a long flight. A few games I've played have random bouts of lag when using the controller, but it's not always noticeable.

However, if more apps and mobile games were developed to work seamlessly with this system, then maybe I would use it more. It has a good build quality, my phone hasnt fallen out, but I find myself nervous that it could.

I was a little worried about the size since I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, but so far it has kept the phone in place (although it does feel like it may pop out any moment, and my phone case doesn't help). Some of my favorite games, unfortunately, cannot be used with the controller (but they are not really designed for it anyways), but other games I've played work very well!

I use it occasionally during the week to play Xbox cloud and PS1 emulation and it works really well for me with both. Really good for at home or on the go. Especially if you don't want your fingers blocking your view during gameplay. Perfect for playing Xbox game pass on the go or streaming in your home as well as gaming apps on the phone. It works with most gaming apps like Nvidia GeForce Now, Xbox game pass, Shadow Cloud PC, and pretty much anything that you can use a Bluetooth controller with. Overall I'd say it's a very good buy.

It uses type C cord for charging and has a 20 hour battery life. The one down fall is that you have to have Microsoft gamepass to use.

It fits my phone perfectly and has a universal fit. The controllers work so well. Easy to play games with this. The battery lasts for 20hours. Since it’s rechargeable it’s easy to use. I don’t have to think or worry about batteries! This wireless controller is so portable and the Bluetooth connection works well! Since it’s cloud gaming compatible I can play Xbox games from anywhere. I really enjoy using this!

Easy to use and the controls are easy to manipulate and learn. Set up is nearly seamless with an android phone. This was a great surprise from my wife for days where I’m stuck in work but ahead of my duties.

The buttons are good quality and won’t give out fast. The downside is that it only works and android. I hope they would have made them for Apple and android.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I like about the MG-X is that you don't have to use your phone to swipe, but use MG-X controller to play the games. The only problem when attaching my android phone to the MG-X it leave the top part of empty space making it doesn't look nice. Thought it was gonna look like the cover of the box. Connected to the Bluetooth was easy. Now playing game on the controller. It depend which type you play because some button don't work with the controller so you have to swipe on your phone. Best game to play race car game. Overall the button feel great when playing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product is well made but very tacky. The grip on the controller feels a little cheap and not that good of quality but overall holds my phone up well and connects with Bluetooth sometimes but always have to re-pair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this it is a great product for gaming. The triggers are pretty good and slide easily. It is easy to use and to get used to. It is really good quality overall. It looks great on the phone too! Definitely recommend it.

I've been using this controller for about 6 months with my Galaxy Z Fold 2 and I've had no major complaints. Be warned the triggers to take some getting used to as they feel a tad spongy at first, but wear in after use. I don't have a case on my phone, so I can't test if that alters the grip, but the phone feels solid in the controller. The biggest downside is the price, there are many cheaper alternatives, however none of the cheaper version are bluetooth or have significantly worse latency. Having tried Xbox cloud streaming as well as a variety of emulators, I've not come across a single issue with compatibility.

Thumb sticks are great but not much travel when playing, L2 and R2 triggers are too stiff and no click when pressed also there is no half press and full press for L2-R2 buttons. other than that the controller seems great

I would update my review if I receive a replacement unit and it functions as it should. Right now the connection issues for the Bluetooth are so bad that the controller is basically non functional.
