Using the Ring Camera security system has been an overall satisfying experience. The installation process was straightforward, even for someone with limited technical skills. The app interface is user-friendly, providing clear step-by-step guidance to set up the device and connect it to Wi-Fi. Once operational, the camera delivered excellent video quality, even at night, thanks to its infrared night vision. The motion detection feature is accurate, sending timely alerts whenever activity is detected. Overall, the Ring Camera offers reliable security and convenience, but a more seamless live-streaming experience would make it perfect.

My system malfunctioned and started alarming while I was out of town and they refused to disarm it unless I paid for a subscription (not a basic plan btw, it’s an “add on”). The person I spoke to was rude and wouldn’t let me escalate to just ask for an exception. Simplisafe lets you control remotely - returning and trying that system instead.

The ring alarm system is very easy to set up and use on a daily basis. One problem I have is that the door chime is very loud, I covered the speaker with tape which helps a lot. The door and window sensors are easy and have long life batteries. I was able to easily add cameras, smoke/CO detectors and a water sensor for the sump pump area in the basement. All of it is professionally monitored and they call me if there are any problems such as the smoke/CO detectors going off

I’ll be honest, we don’t use this feature very often. We use our cameras much more often than the motion sensor. It was easy to install and thus far has not needed a new battery. It can be used in conjunction with our other Ring products when the house alarm is set.

I got this kit through my home insurance company, which was free, so I could maintain my safe home discount after the old system was deactivated. Everything works great, installation and set up was super easy. I love that it has water sensors, which is extremely important to me having a sump pump in the basement that has flooded in the past. The whole system works nicely together, seems to be reliable, and the camera quality is decent. I would recommend this to someone who wants a quick easy security system that doesn't require a lot of technical knowledge.

Easy to set up and add sensors to- which I did. Delay function for entry is good, but also versatile access via the app on your phone is useful too. Feel safer having the alarm system up and running, with me being a single parent to 3 young children

I absolutely love this alarm. It was so easy to install and set up. It comes with the right tools to ensure that your doors will be protected. You can also add on window detectors, motion detectors, glass break sensors, and cameras. I feel so safe with my alarm and am very happy with my purchase!

I have this system added with my ring cameras and they work great together. Adding the window sensors and door sensors were simple and battery life has lasted so far for 5 years. Any time a sensor goes offline or tampered the app alerts you. Best security system for the money.

The setup was pretty simple - I just took my time and followed the guides. The look of the components is modern and clean. I incorporated the base unit into one of my gallery walls. The ring changes color so I always know the state of the system and it looks cool. I included the keypad as part of a vignette by my front door. The door sensors are mounted toward the top of each door frame and pretty much blend in. I chose not to install window sensors for now. I have manual window locks because of my A/C system. I've tested the siren (it's in the base unit) and it is super loud - very effective. Arming and disarming the system from the app, Alexa, and the keypad is very simple. All systems are a go LOL! I'll be installing the gate sensor today but have already tested it and it works great. There is a range extender included but it looks like I won't need it. It would be nice if Ring would include a template to wall mount the base unit. The mounting holes on the back are pretty awkward to work with. I used Gorilla Tape to mount it rather than messing with the screw mount. I haven't decided on a subscription plan yet so I'm self-monitoring for now. Yard signs are available separately, which I'll be purchasing as an additional deterrent.
