  • A: Yes, it has a cable/coax connection. I also use an antenna. To set up the antenna channels, you click the home button on the remote, and select "Live TV". It will then scan for all available channels.

I drove 40 minutes to Target to buy this TV, only to find it doesn’t turn on. Now I have to drive back to return it. I’ve seen other complaints about this issue, so it’s clearly a recurring problem. The manufacturer needs to address this promptly

It's a decent TV for the price, but if you want to do anything outside of Netflix and Hulu, you'll be disappointed. I bought this as a replacement for an Amazon fire TV that I purchased last year because I want to move away from Amazon. But as it turns out, and as much as I hate to say it, Amazon does a lot of things right. First off, the fire TV let me program its remote to control my external soundbar which was connected via an optical cable. Roku does not have the technology to program external audio devices with its remote. Not unless you want to buy Roku brand products or if your soundbar has HDMI arc capabilities. They support wireless connectivity with a sound bar, but again, only for Roku brand. It seems as though they've fallen quite short here. Bluetooth is a standard. Get with the times, Roku. Another annoyance, while it has CEC controls via HDMI, I have not been able to get it to work with any external device the way I can with my Amazon fire TV. Like, not at all. I don't even know why there's an option in their very limited settings menu. Multiple remote it is! It has a USB port, so if you want to play media files there is a capability for that. However, the file types supported on my Amazon TV are not supported here. Cool. And one of the things that bothers me the most is the Roku UI is littered with ads. The HBO Max app is terrible, too. You have to hit the play/pause button twice for some reason to pause and unpause, and when you unpause, there a giant black overlay blocking half the screen for 10 seconds. Clearly the developers don't use their products. I'm likely going to use an HDMI fire stick until I can configure something else out. And it's says it's 60hz but when the camera pans, it's very choppy compared to my other 60hz displays. In summary, prepare for extremely limited options, settings, functionality, and juggling multiple remote controls. I normally don't leave reviews but there is very little information online about these particular setbacks.

Do not buy this tv. The picture settings are terrible. You can not turn off the soap opera effect. The picture is fuzzy and dark no matter the settings. The sound is extremely bad. I'm no novice with tv settings. This was bought as a spare bedroom tv. I would pay a few bucks more for a better tv. I'm returning this one.

Purchased TV on a Friday morning, Target said I’d have it Saturday. FED EX NEVER DELIVERED! Now updated delivery is Tuesday, yet I can buy it on Target today (Sunday) and it says I’ll have it Monday. FED EX IS NOT RELIABLE- PLEASE STOP USING THEM, I always have delays with them!!!

I just got this TV this afternoon. I am not receiving any benefit from this review, I just wanted to share how happy I am with the ROKU 50inch TV. Unboxing and set-up was very easy, signing in to apps is the only slow thing about it. I am not fastidious about little details of pictures or sound, and this screen seems perfect to me; the TVs I had before did not display night scenes correctly, but this ROKU does a great job at that. I have watched several things and found no faults in any of them. If you insist on perfect sound, the bass is not super strong, but certainly good enough for me and better than any recent TV I had. And the price was fantastic!

Will not power on

TV did not power on. Tried all debugging options from web and called their tech support who spent 10 minutes asking me what brand of TV it was and then told me to try pluggin it into a different outlet before recommending I return it... I was hoping to have a TV for an important football game this weekend, but this was a complete failure. I recommend anything other than this frustrating piece of junk. On the bright side, Target shipping was fast, and returns are generally simple, so at least I will get my money back.

Love it so far, great tv for the money. Picture is good, sound is good, good selection of inputs. I like that has both WiFi and an Ethernet port. No display blob issues as another reviewer reported, may have got a bad panel unfortunately. Feet are made of metal and not plastic which I like. Hopefully it lasts, time will tell. No cons to speak of so far.

Item in stock at store is not accurate. Placed an order and it was canceled. Did not offer to ship it or anything just told me to place the order again another day. Online it says there are five in stock at my store. I called my store. They said they had five in stock on the floor, but they couldn’t find them. So that’s great. Good job target. Also the email I got cancelling it said cancelled because “ fall candel ( they misspelled candle) in front of window.” What does that even mean? Even guest services and calling target couldn’t give me an answer.
