I honestly do not understand how this rolling pin has so many reviews. A month or so into using it the black paint started chipping and gets into your dough. Very unsafe.

It’s a great rolling pin, but the handles don’t seem like they are great quality for the price. When we use it we wash it and always dry it afterwards, but the paint from the handles are chipping off. Last thing I want is having black chipped paint in our pastries. This will only be our 4th time using it.

I bought this to roll out dough. I kept noticing little black flakes in my dough which I had to pick out. I realized the paint from the handles chips off. It's chipping from the part where the handle meets the rolling part so I don't know how to fix this. Do not recommend.

Rolls well, good weight! I had some super-fine grit sandpaper on hand so I gave it a quick once over to make it even smoother, then coated it in some mineral oil :) Not necessary though! Definitely worth the price.
