A: They have to be assembled. It is pretty easy. I think it was like 6 or 8 pieces.

The wood tone is really nice and it was pretty easy to put together. I would give it a 3.5/5 for comfort. Not sure anyone would want to sit for a long period of time, like to watch a movie. I purchased the protection plan based on other reviews. @polishedbycm

I love the look of this chair. The quality of workmanship? Not so much. I was about half way through the assembly, when screw holes didn’t line up. No way of fixing it, as the threaded hardware the screw is supposed to go into, comes already inserted into the wood. This hardware piece was inserted off center at one of the attachment points. I will be returning the chair. I’m willing to give it one more try, and order another, but it seems to always be Out Of Stock.

So, I bought two chairs. Directions and putting it together was easy with the first one. The second chair was a challenge with many of the edges not properly sanded, I got a few splinters when putting together and moving it around my living room. I will return one of the chairs and order another with hopes that the new chair will have smooth edges.

I bought these chairs last year, and in less than 3 months they looked terrible. The finish faded and got chaulky looking, and started peeling, and the joints cracked and looked bad. Would not recommend.
