Well made, looks high-end. The fabric is an attractive linen-like material. It's sturdy enough to sit on or add a tray for snacks. Yes, they cut corners, but nowhere visible. A few caveats: 1. It's actually a stool with a skirt! The top is thick foam; the bottom has four legs. (Assembly is simple; just screw them in by hand.) 2. The skirt looks like a single piece of pleated cloth, but it's really several overlapping flaps. 3. Those flaps need to be pressed, which can be tricky. Be sure you protect the cloth. The reverse side of some flaps have a material (nylon?) that will instantly melt under even a low iron. The "right" side of the fabric will shine unless you cover it. It's worth the bother, though. I couldn't be more pleased.
