Q: Is there a mechanism to set the height and stop the top from spinning freely?

A: Hey Kim! Thank you for contacting us. - This table comes with adjustable height, you can customize the height according to your need. But please note that there is no locking mechanism to stop the table. It will stop spinning at the highest & lowest level however this is firm enough that this will not spin until someone intends to. - Hafsa

Q: We saw this in stores and noticed that it was poorly constructed (the top was not level) and that the table top continues to spin. Are you able to stop it from spinning once you set the desired height?

This end table is very unique! I love it! The height is adjustable so it can be made higher or lower. The iron legs gives this table an industrial vibe. Lastly, it is heavy and sturdy.

Would be a cute table unfortunately it arrived with the top unleveled. Even with cranking the table up and down will not adjust to a level top. Also, the grease on the shaft is rather messy. Especially if you have small kids who may touch it.

This is a gorgeous table in person! Nice and heavy, gorgeous stained top, arrived fast. The cork screw base is amazing to have with different sized furniture. Came fully assembled. I do think its a bit small for a side table… night stand maybe but for a busy living room with guests thats TBD. Im going to live with it for a few days, and honestly may build a round top for it (so bad I know) that is bigger as I do love the base! At 22 inches I wish it was closer to 30” for a living room

The table came cracked so I sent it back and got a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement had a crack in it as well and overall the table top was uneven. I noticed that studio mcgee pieces can be a hit or a miss and in this case it is unfortunately a miss in quality control

Super pleased with this end table. The Studio McGee collab furniture seems to be hit or miss on quality but this one is a huge hit. Base is very heavy duty and top is beautiful. What sold me on the table when I purchase it was the adjustable height. I’ve been having a hard time finding a pedestal style end table that wasn’t too high for my couch. The customizable height makes this so versatile. Buy this table—you won’t be disappointed.

Really lovely table! I love the contrasting materials and that it actually is adjustable in height by spinning it! Super cool! It’s really heavy- no small child will be knocking it over. It arrived assembled and was well packaged. One of the legs had a bit of the black paint chipped in places but nothing enough for me to warrant sending it back. I love the wood color and variation on the one I received so much I wouldn’t want to trade it. It’s neat that each table top will be a little unique that way.
