A:Â Yes, the ladder folds down by pushing the tab down on the back of the step and pulling up on the step. The ladder folds up to a thin profile for easy storage.

This is a well-built sturdy ladder with non slip rubber feet. I feel comfortable using it on hardwood and tile floors.
