I do agree putting this desk together was frustrating. There needed to be a few written instructions along with the pictures. Instead of screwing the shelves on, I used Velcro to keep the shelves in place. This was easier than drilling holes in the shelves. The desk is a perfect size for a corner in my family room. The baskets, shelves and drawers work perfect for hiding a lot of clutter from incoming mail. The appearance of this desk is very nice and would look good with most decors--the wood is a nice color. It really is a welcome addition to my room and things just look so much more organized now. I would not hesitate to recommend this desk.

First, I've put a lot of bookcases and desks together, but none were as frustrating as this one. Instead of cams, etc, it came with a hex key and that made things tough. I had to return one of the metal side supports because it wouldn't line up because it was bent. Then I too had trouble lining up screws with holes. I wanted this because I needed a desk that was not too deep but for the money, this one isn't worth it. On the plus side, customer service was outstanding. They sent me a replacement part free and with free shipping AND with expedited shipping I got it in 4 days.

Had some trouble with holes not lining up - some with the shelves which was an easy fix but others when joining the metal frame to the wood top. It all worked out in the end and it is a nice small desk.

I ordered this desk online. It was delivered pretty quickly. When I got the package it looked like it was a previous return because the box was taped back together. When I opened the box the front of the desk drawer had a large stratch on it. I was very disappointed because I really liked the desk. Target needs to inspect items that were returned before reselling them online to customers.
