Q: I purchased both the color and the clear top coat, and within 3 days it was chipping off in quite large pieces.

A: The only time that happens is when I take a very hot shower. The whole nail color comes off in one piece like a fake nail. Washing dishes with hot water is bad too. The advantage is that if I want it off, I just take a scalding shower and they all fall off easily. No need for polish remover.

Q: How long does it take to dry once you put the top coat on it? Also, do you have to wipe with alcohol after the top coat is dry. Does it have a sticky residue on the nail if you don't wipe with alcohol?

A: it dries fine but it won’t last more than a few days without chipping/peeling. it is worth the money to buy the top coat as it lasts almost the same amount of time as a regular gel manicure!

I usually love Sally Hansen products as I am a stay at home mom and the products are affordable. I bought the miracle gel top coat with a color and was very disappointed. I LOVED how it looked when it was finished... I took a shower the next day and it was already coming off.....2 days later half of the nail polish was off. I spent so long doing them in hopes it would last atleast 5 days.

Very thick formula (very sticky too), dries insanely slow, takes 4 coats to be opaque. Color is very streaky after drying, and is not even when applied. After the 4 coats the layers are too thick to fully dry, causing the polish to get everywhere. This is by far the worst nail polish I’ve ever used! I will be returning this product.

Have done my nails twice so far and I love how long it lasts ! I’m a nurse and I work in the operating room and the nails polish really holds up without ruining my nails like a gel manicure at a salon . It’s also very easy to take off .

I'm not one to have nails and keep them...but since recovering from surgery, I've decided to do my best and keep my natural nails short and 'sporty'. I decided to use a polish that advertised as long lasting and chip resistant. I'm not outside active so chilling at home recovering was the perfect scenario for me. 3 coats of color and then top coat... didn't even last a week. 2 nails completely gone and the others just chipping away. not worth the time or money.

I bought the white and clear top coat that said non chip. I did a French manicure and two nails chipped off the next day. So I tried all white. The next day three chipped badly. I don't know what's wrong. I have used Sally Hansen for many years.

I actually really love this color (Holla-gram)! I thought it would be pretty dark based on the bottle and the photo but it is actually VERY light and translucent. Two coats gave me a muted sunset orange color with a teal shimmer and I’m super sold. Just be aware that it is not as pictured, lol. Generally have had decent luck with longevity on this brand — anywhere from 5-8 days before having to redo it, typically.
