A: I'll answer my own question. I unplugged and plugged back in the power cord at the outlet and that fixed it. It's in the owner's manual. I should read it first.

A: I just connected the HW-T-400 to my older 55" Samsung plasma visa the optical cord. The sound bar works great even with my infinity (Comcast) remote. On/Off, channel change and volumn.

I bought About 2 months ago and it worked OK very upset that I had to get a cord it said it was Bluetooth compatible and it wasn't. My TV is a Samsung and practically brand new I couldn't understand why it wasn't Bluetooth compatible Only compatible with my phone which is a Samsung. I say next time I'm going to pay more money and get what I pay for you know that saying you get what you pay for it's absolutely true this was a special and I got it for half price for the holidays And it's a mistake I've learned and I won't make again. Like I said it worked at 1st with the cord and now there's no sound coming from it at all and it is only 2 months old. Don't make the same mistake I did pay a little bit more money and get something that will last and we'll sound great with your TV no matter what brand it is.

Maybe not for older TVs

I don’t think this is meant for older TVs. I purchased this to boost the sound on my tv that’s about 10 years old and, while it did that, it caused my tv to lag, and it kept freezing my streaming apps. If I turned the soundbar off, it started working again right away. Even more annoying was it wouldn’t automatically connect when it turned everything on, and I had to go into the settings menu to reconnect every time. Three days of this was enough for me. The sound is good, but just doesn’t work properly with my tv.

Bought this as an impulse buy for a Christmas present for basically half off retail price and thought it was a great value. Wasn't sure if the person I got it for would like it and they have liked it so far. Easy to setup sounds better then the TV audio doesn't echo like the TV. Only thing is it doesn't come with any cables to connect to the TV nor did the packaging let me know this. Wasn't a huge deal about the wires. But other then that solid audio for the price.

Received this as a Christmas gift and although it says Bluetooth will work with Bluetooth enabled Samsung tvs it does not. We have ordered the optical cable to give it a try but are very disappointed this product does not work as advertised.

No, this is not a bose or sonos bar. It's a budget sound bar and even for a budget sound bar it's a bargain. The sound is about ten times better than my tv sound (also a Samsung) and enhances tv shows, movies & sporting events. If you want a surround sound to watch Avatar or Star Wars, you need to spend some extra coin. If you want to make general tv viewing a more pleasurable experience, this fits the bill nicely.

I paired this soundbar with my new Samsung TV via Wifi and it worked fine... for less than 30 days. Now no sound comes out even though the wifi connection is good. The TV sound works, but not the soundbar.
