Q: I have older samsung smart tv's that don't give the option to add new apps. Is that a samsung thing or and old tv thing? If I got a new samsung tv, would it automatically update with new apps/ streaming services or is there a way to add them?

Bought 65" crystal UHD tv and has shadow dark areas on the tv. and of coarse just out of warranty. From what I read this is a common issue with Samsung TV's were the diffusers come loose dure to the glue not adhering properly.

This is my first bad Samsung TV. I’ve bought many Samsungs because I like the features they offer but recently I bought a 65” and this 70”, both tvs were lightly used but this on w died after 3 years. This comes as a surprise to me because this tv probably has less than 1k hours of on time. This tv is stuck at a black screen where it cycles on and off all day/ everyday unless i unplug it

I had bothe the crystal uhd 65 and 55 both went out black screen would not power on. I was able to return 1 to store. Other 1 is about 2 yrs old and needs fixed. Will not ever buy another Samsung TV. I have 4 other samsung tvs on the walls that have had no problem. 1 is a 10 yr old plasma, led, and a 3d. Never any problems 2 over 10 yrs old. These crystal uhd a did not last 3 mos or 3yrs. Buyer beware!

I bought this tv February 01,2023 and by November 14, 2023 it just stopped working. I thought I bought a Samsung not a Hisense. Now on to the warranty process and hopefully it lasts longer than 9 months.

Sound Cuts Out

Most things about this TV are good, but the sound will cut out for a few seconds at a time and then once in a while it will cut out completely. The sound test will get the sound back on, but nothing has ever worked to stop the few second cutouts that happen several times an hour. We have literally tried every single bit of troubleshooting we've found online. We have unplugged it, we have done a factory reset, tried to switch sound to optical, turned off anynet, checked many times for updates. We end up missing dialogue on shows all the time. Even with subtitles on it's really irritating. It seems from my research that Samsung continually denies that this is an issue with their TVs but there are countless posts online of people with the same problem. They tell people it must be their cable box or whichever other device that is plugged in. Nope. This happens with literally anything on the TV, even with the apps through the TV itself. So please stop denying it Samsung. Your TVs have a sound problem. They're fine for a few months, but then when you can't return them you'll start having problems. What are you going to do to fix this known issue???

I am frustrated with this brand and model. Terrible software, constantly lags and I have to wait for the remote command for 5 seconds every time, screen share is awful and cannot even connect to the laptop that is right next to it and both are also near the wifi modem. I do not recommend this model regardless of size.

We bought this TV during Boxing Day sales in December 2022. It was our first Boxing Day purchase. We used to have an old Sony tube TV, that was a heavy piece of furniture, and we got rid of it when we moved to our new Condo. We bought the Samsung and have been thrilled with the picture, the sound, the quality and best of all, the price. We are not techies, but have managed to figure out how to get the few Bell channels that we have signed-up for. All is great with this new TV.

I have had this model for a little less than 2 years. The screen went completely black out of nowhere. After troubleshooting I was able to get the picture back for about a week and then it died again!!! Now there is no recovering the picture and Samsung has quoted me some outrageous repair price that will probably amount to more than I paid for the TV when I bought it! I loved this tv when it worked but am very hesitant to purchase another. I have heard this model is known to be defective, I wish there was more compensation for the money lost on this product!
