Good Luck Mounting It

I’m sure the TV is great, but unfortunately I can’t even get it mounted. I’ve mounted about 8-10 TV’s, and so far I’ve never had any problems with them. Unfortunately, this is not the case with The Frame. Every single piece of mounting hardware is garbage. I completely stripped the head of a screw the second it hit the stud (happened with every screw that went into the stud, the paper guide is a waste, the brackets are ridiculously difficult to level, the instructions are useless and hardly have any words, and all of this on top of it being for the most important TV to mount well. My wife and I started to consider returning it out of pure frustration. And again, I’d like to say, we’ve mounted plenty of TV’s before. All of our friends were waiting to hear about the amazing Frame, but our recommendation is not to buy it unless you want to pay someone else to mount it. 0/10 on the mounting difficulties alone.

Not Shabbos Friendly - 18 days ago
originally posted on Samsung US
I recently purchased a Samsung TV only to find out that it comes with annoying energy-saving mandates. If you don't actively use the remote, the TV abruptly turns off after four hours and, frustratingly, turns back on whenever it pleases. As the owner, I believe I shouldn't be coerced into following the company's energy standards. If this TV is designed for a specific eco-friendly audience, Samsung should make it clear in their product description. Disappointing experience overall.

Not Shabbos Friendly, I’m sorry to hear your Frame TV is turning itself off. While this issue will be corrected with an upcoming firmware update, you can prevent this issue with the following: Disable Night Mode 1. Navigate to the Art Home Screen, as Art Mode settings can only be accessed from here. If art is currently displayed on the screen, press Return on the remote to go to the Home screen or navigate to Art Mode from wherever you are on the TV. 2. Scroll all the way down to Art Mode Options, then highlight Night Mode. Press Enter on the remote to switch Night Mode from On to Off. 3. Extend the Sleep After time. This feature will turn off Art Mode after a set amount of time if no motion is detected around the TV. Sleep After is also located under Art Mode Options and can be set from 5 minutes to 4 hours. Select the Sleep After icon to select the desired time. Check the Sleep Timer The Sleep Timer automatically turns the TV off after a specific period of time. Go to: Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > System Manager > Time > Sleep Timer If the Sleep Timer has not been enabled, see if Auto Power Off or Off Timer have been enabled and disable it. - Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Auto Power Off - Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > System Manager > Time > Off Timer Update firmware You can check to see what version your TV is using and if there's an update available by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now. If the issue persists, please reach out to us and a Support agent will gladly help with this. Call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Useless, won't keep wifi connection

Very disappointed in this tv. I've had this for almost a year and it's basically useless. I was so excited to buy this tv, i had my eye on it for a long time before I finally splurged on it. Worked fine for the first couple months and then it suddenly kept disconnecting from wifi. I got it to work again for a few months, now it's disconnecting again and won't connect at all. Sometimes it will connect for 2 seconds and then immediately disconnects. It's not my wifi, everything else connects fine. I've tried every troubleshooting option and nothing works. Huge waste of my money. My tv is basically USELESS. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

LizT, Thank you for sharing your experience with Wi-Fi connectivity on your Frame TV. This may be caused by a network issue. You might want to go through these steps to check your network connection: 1) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (Wi-Fi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.) 2) If the wireless connection fails, connect the TV to the access point via a LAN cable. If the TV can connect to the Internet normally via the wired connection, there might be a problem with the access point. In this case, try using a different access point. 3) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem. Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test 4) Try a cold reboot of your TV by pressing and holding the power button for 5+ seconds until the TV turns off and on again. 5) Please also be sure you have the latest firmware update. You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update. For further assistance or service, please contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. ANNOYING SCREEN ADS, BUGGY OS, BLOATWARE GALORE

This TV has TONS of OS bugs. Constantly having to do full OS resets just to get it to work. Main screen displays VERY ANNOYING ads that you can NOT turn off (vs comp tv where you can easily turn them off). TV is loaded with Samsung bloatware that you can not delete. Picture quality is not as good as the competition. Extra hardware outside of TV is an eye sore. Competition does not have that either. Wish I had NOT purchased this.

Soutine, We appreciate your feedback on the performance and picture quality of The Frame TV. To ensure you have the latest enhancements and optimizations, please be sure your TV is running the most recent firmware version. You can check this by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update. You may also want to further optimize performance with the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees up unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting. Go to Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode ...and select the mode that best fits your usage: 1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments. 2) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room. 3) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. 4) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching. You can also fine-tune your picture with expert settings such as brightness, contrast, sharpness and more (All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings). For further assistance with settings adjustments, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. For months I and many, many others have been suffering through an issue where a several-iterations-ago firmware update bug causes the TV to randomly turn itself on from art mode to TV, so you'll be startled from time to time when it suddenly blares the Hallmark Family Channel or something. I've given up hope waiting for a fix and only console myself with the fact that I will never buy another Samsung product ever again. Don't buy this TV.

Hi, We appreciate you sharing your experience. If your Frame TV automatically turns on when left in Art Mode, it may be due to the SmartThings app, as your TV may still communicate with the SmartThings server even if the TV has been turned off. While this issue will be corrected with an upcoming firmware update, you can prevent this issue by temporarily removing the TV from the SmartThings app on your connected phone. 1. On your connected phone, navigate to and open the SmartThings app. 2. Tap the Devices tab, then tap the Home icon, and then select the location with your TV. Swipe through the rooms to find your TV, and then touch and hold your TV. 3. Tap Edit, and then tap Remove device. Tap Remove to confirm. 4. Please make sure you have Auto Updates enabled: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update. When the upcoming firmware update is available and installed on your TV, you can re-add your TV to the SmartThings app. I hope this helps. If your TV continues to turn on by itself, please reach us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Frame is a classy piece of Art and Technology. The tv looks great whether it is on or off. No one who have visited us have known that it was a TV and would ask where did you get that painting. We have also subscribed to the art gallery which is well worth the money. It sits so flush to the wall. Mounting is as easy as mounting a painting on the wall. The power and data cable combined adds to the beauty and convenience of the product. No need to drill through walls to conceal it. It's literally invisible. The streaming performance UI and the picture quality is great. As good as any other Samsung qled. I want to buy another bigger frame on my way to saving for the bigger frame TV. Extremely satisfied with the product. Adds a classy touch to any room.

Great TV, Picture quality/brightness is great. Art mode is nice but it still looks as like a TV (the kids 7 and 4 noticed immediately while we were trying to trick them). Bluetooth speaker asks to connect each time which is annoying especially on art mode (an auto-connect to this device would solve the problem). WiFi speaker is only for Samsung products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Frame TV and a vertical mount (off Amazon, as out of stock at Samsung), after carefully measuring and realizing I could squeeze in the vertical display TV in my room. I saw the art advertised and have seen the Frame TV’s art displayed horizontally @ a friend’s, so I knew the art selections were beautiful. A big disappointment though, that so little art is offered, even with the art subscription, for vertical presentation. I so looked forward to losing the black hole of a horizontal TV & instead hoped to enjoy art displayed in a vertical format on my skinny wall. No big black hole! Not to be. Maybe 3 or 4 pieces (that aren’t childish or silly and even few of those) are available. Otherwise, very happy with the clear picture, I like the “frame” concept.
