We recently nought this for our teenager as her first phone and we couldn,t be happier. Has a great battery life and a lot of memory, the processor is very good. I bought it during sale time so got it for a good price. Camera is pretty amazing, color quality and pixels are very good. Best part it is unlocked so use it wherever you like with the carrier of your choice. We liked it soo much we ended up buying one more for my mom.

I have no idea what these negative reviews are about but this phone is well worth the price! It has awesome resolution, great cameras and the performance is superior to a lot of phones out right now including the iPhone 14! For the price and performance, this phone is great! The only drawback is the Samsung factory installed apps that you have no option of uninstalling and/or disabling...that is one thing that does make the phone annoying as far as having apps that a person might not even use running in the background when they want too...the short term solution is running an app that force stops those apps but would like to see Samsung offer owners of the phone options to uninstall unnecessary apps that they don't use because not only do Google apps just open in the background when they want too but Samsung apps open when they want too as well and that brings the performance level of the phone down unless a person knows how to deal with them with the apps that provide the force stop option as I mentioned before! But hey, those minor details aside the phone is still great and nothing horrible about it!

Bought this phone as an upgrade. Screen is wonderful, size is perfect, stutters through applications and bluetooth is a problem. Does not perform clearly with auto bluetooth. Too much static. Hopefully, software upgrade will fix the problem

Sad and Disappointed with A53

I purchased a Galaxy A53 5G in May 2022 and had continuous connection problems (problems sending text messages, connecting to the internet, and making calls). So I went back to my cellphone service provider in Sep 2022 and they gave me another, new phone - same model and I am still having problems, especially with call connection. I depend on my phone heavily (as most people do), so I need ANOTHER, more reliable phone, just after getting my second "new" A53. After two new phones within a few months of each other and still no success, how can I trust this brand.

My first time purchasing a phone outright instead of financing it or purchasing off the street, and I am so disappointed! I usually love galaxy phones. This one sucks. I don't know if I ended up with a defective phone or what, but the touch screen or something is off. I have to push buttons multiple times sometimes for them to work. The camera doesn't immediately take pictures when the button is pressed. It stalls for like 3-5 seconds. Super annoying! From my past Samsung phones, I expected the camera to be much better but it's not bad. I have never gotten my phone wet. In fact, I could sit it in a cool room everyday, and it will just periodically decided that it doesn't wanna charge. Instead, it will give me a moisture detected message. If my phone is dead, I'm stuck without one jntil it decides to charge. I don't even wanna resell this piece of crap! I wouldn't feel right. Smh

This phone is complete database garbage. Don't waste your money. The touchscreen is slow to respond. In fact, everything on this phone is slow and laggy. Not responsive at all. Everything takes forever to load. Complete waste of money. Worst purchase I've ever made.

The phone has many excellent features for the price range. Screen display at 6.5" is the best feature, Samsung UI is easy to understand and comfortable to view. The only setback is the processing speed. Hopefully, Samsung will improve with software upgrades. Software policy is an additional feature which is a major factor in purchasing this phone. Very pleased with the phone. Works excellent on ATT network.

Didn't recieve texts for 4 days but sent them. Charging port keeps filling with lint. The speakers have already gone bad. The camera is worse than my 4 year old phone it is replacing. All of this in only 6 weeks.

Camera and audio issue

Using the camera with 2x zoom takes pictures that are off centered and doesn't capture the image correctly. It also makes random noises when playing games. Feels like a downgrade compared to my previous Samsung phone.

Happy with the phone except that the bluetooth doesn't work right in our 2017 Toyota Rav4, it makes your voice sound robotic/garbled on phone calls. If Samsung fixes this with a software update, I'll update my review. All else is good on the phone, and would recommend otherwise.

wouldnt make a call

I did lots of research and decided to make the purchase of this phone. didnt want to pay alot, but wanted good quality. this seemed bbn like the right fit. after receiving the phone and getting my sim card, the phone would not make calls. 3 sim cards later, still no calls. returning phone. hope it's just the phone I received. I am going to get a replacement (hopefully) and we will see how that goes.

Terrible downgrade with the camera quality.

Broke my A51 so I went to get a replacement and they said that they could only order me this version on the phone, I figured it would be alright because of the supposed upgrades from the last ones but honestly I am disappointed. The camera quality is quite terrible considering the quality and vibrancy of the A51. I am a photographer and cannot always have my camera on me so my phone is my best friend when it comes to on the go pictures and I am very upset with the quality of the camera. I could be pointing the camera at beautiful, vibrant, colorful objects and they look muted and grainy from the cameras point of view. It doesn't capture the quality or the sharpness of what I am photographing as well, and there are no settings to fix this. A 100% downgrade from the previous phones, unsure how you can consider this an upgrade at all. Very unhappy with this purchase.
