A: It will absolutely stain your clothes. I followed appropriate application guidelines from the company, and it ruined a brand new shirt after a single wear.

submitted byTBMmom - 4 years agoA: Yes, it will stain. I don’t think it happens with one time use...I didn’t pay attention, but with use overtime use. I did warm up the this charchoal deo till it was soft. You obviously cannot see it in the dark too, but 100% on lights. I had to scrub hard those areas with soap to get it off...but who wants to do that every time. The deo has great reviews and I was really hoping it would, but I didn’t for me :( and I followed the instructions...I am a rule follower so reading instructions is natural to me. I did about to passes of the deo per armpit. Maybe it is supposed to be only one pass? Not sure. But I am not willing to try it again unless the company does something about it. But if you do not mind the stains then this deo deff work and helps you stay dry.

Make sure you warm the product on your skin, apply 1-3 swipe and allow the deodorant to absorb into the skin before you dress. It should absolutely be safe for anyone undergoing chemo, but we always recommend checking in with a physician if you have specific medical concerns.

A: Our natural fragrances are a combination of pure essential oils or non-synthetic isolates, which are a combination of aromatic molecules distilled from natural plant materials. These are proprietary blends so we aren’t able to release the exact formulation. The scent of this product is freshly fallen rain - we hope this helps!

A: I would say so. I am about to purchase it for my 12 year old. I have very sensitive skin and so many natural deodorants made me break out or itch. I had no issues with this one at all. There is also a Schmidt's sensitive skin line, the Coconut Pineapple smells and works amazing too.

I have a LOT of allergies which is why I need a bare-boned ingredient list but which doesn't contain too many botanicals or other homeopathic-like things. I've tried other "natural" deodorants, and they don't do anything for me. The Schmidt's line works PHENOMENALLY. Unfortunately I'm still allergic to the other scents since they have florals, woods, and other essential oils. This one smells very lightly of lemon but is very limited in those "natural" ingredients, so it's great for people like me who don't like the essential oils and stuff. But it holds the fort down EXCELLENTLY. I can last over a day and a half without smelling, including on extremely hot summer days and even after hours of intense Latin dancing. It melts really well into the skin, and it's not as waxy as average deodorants. I've been using it for almost four years now and will never go back to any other deodorant. Overall I highly, highly recommend this product.

Schmidt's has done me well keeping odor at bay and holding up to my sweat during workouts, but I cannot continue to but a product that charges the same high price for 3.25 oz as it does for 2.64 oz. May not seen like a big difference, but I found a better, cheaper alternative and will no longer be buying Schmidt's.

Purchased this deodorant thinking it was fragrance free. As chemically sensitive person, I can't tolerate any "smells", even natural ones. A few minutes after applying this deodorant, I became aware of a strong floral smell. Tried to wash it off, but the floral smell wouldn't go away! It got stronger as the day wore on, and finally I had to take another shower and change my clothes to eliminate the odor. For those who are chemically sensitive or have liver deficiencies, this product is not for you.

As to it's function, I love the Schmidt's Charcoal Magnesium. I've tried many deodorants, and this is the only one that does a great job without terrible scents, harsh chemicals, or spray of any kind. Unfortunately, it completely fails in the area of sustainability. Plenty of other vendors have found ways to package roll-ons that don't use plastic-using paper or cardboard for example. And even Schmidt's, before they were acquired by the Unilever giant, sold a different deodorant in a highly sustainable glass jar. Despite claims that plastic is "recyclable" - pretty much everyone these days knows that most plastics-especially the #5 used by Schmidt's-usually end up in landfills. Only the specialty recycler TerraCycle will take these, and the consumer must package, ship, and pay to have them recycled. How many people do that? It should be the manufacturer's responsibility to produce a sustainable product, made from carbon neutral, non-petroleum materials. But no, just as with the beverage industry, consumers are expected to subsidize the process or live with the litter. Shame.

I was gifted a pack of this deodorant and have relegated it to being only worn when I'm doing yard work where I won't smell myself. It smells exactly like my Repel Lemon Eucalyptus Insect Repellent, and it is *not* pleasant. I wouldn't mind trying a difference scent, but this is one terrible.

Got this for my husband, smells great and works. But the BIG problem is it stains anything white or light -medium colored clothing. Everything that is white to medium color that is close to his pits is now gray in the the pits. Going to soak in Oxy-clean and hope it gets it out 😬🤞🏻 *** that is not a gray shirt in the picture I posted

Bought this on a whim, and it's been such a terrible mistake. I have multiple shirts that have permanent stains after the deodorant just miraculously comes off of your skin and sticks to the clothing. No, not after exercise, or outside in hot weather. Just normal day-to-day living that isn't producing any perspiration. Ridiculous. Even darker colored shirts somehow have stains that can't be removed. Shirts I've had for 5+ years.

I surprisingly liked this one! If I’m not super active I don’t need to re-apply at all. If I’m out walking or hiking I just bring a travel size spray on deo to use when I get super sweaty. This deodorant leaves me with no BO smell throughout my work day. It makes me have a basil or fresh herb smell which I don’t mind, as it’s more on the refreshing side and not a gross BO smell. Cons- A little on the expensive side but not too bad. I got 2 months use out of one stick - might of over applied so may be user error

I've used this deodorant for years, even got my whole family hooked. I recently ran out of my supply and bought a new stick only to discover it doesn't work anymore. After some research learned they changed to tried and true formula. Worse than wearing no deoderant at all.
