I was soooo excited to get this laminator for Christmas! It had a super weird smell when I turned it on that I thought would go away, but it never did. It made my entire house smell so much I wouldn't even use it when my kids were home. And then about 2 months ago it just stopped working. It doesn't turn on at all, and when I reached out for help I was told to be sure it was plugged in. I just wanted something for simple projects. What a bummer.

I absolutely loved this when I first got it about a year ago. It was so easy and worked great. I have used it maybe 5 times for small projects. Today, I try to turn it on to use and it will not power on. It should last much longer than 5 uses. Very disappointed.

I tried turning my laminator on one day and it wouldn't light up/turn on. I thought maybe it was the outlet in my classroom, but when I tried in a different area it still wouldn't turn on. Such a bummer! I loved having a laminator in my classroom so that I could quickly laminate things without going to our school work room and waiting until the large laminator warmed up (30-45 min). I probably used this laminator once a week and only for smaller jobs.

I only used it about 10 times and it stopped working! I had bought this in advance for my classroom, and it’s not returnable anymore. I wish I could get my money back. I read the manual and nothing. It just stopped working completely, won’t turn on.

This is the second time this has happened; I returned the first laminator a couple of days ago. The experience is unsatisfactory. The instructions don't say anything about preventing overheating, and neither does the website

I bought this laminator at the start of the school year last year, since my kids were going to remote it felt like a good idea to have a laminator on hand. I have used it a handful of times or less. Today, I went to laminate a chore chart I made for my youngest and it won't turn on at all. I know it was a fairly inexpensive product, but it's annoying. Especially seeing a lot of reviews similar to mine.

I’ve had this for 2 years. I’d say I’ve laminated at least 300 things if not more. Everything comes out great! The machine works beautifully and just as great today as it did 2 years ago right out of the box! Reading the negative reviews all I keep thinking is it seems like A LOT of user error. Make sure you read directions, but the correct pouch size, let the machine heat up till the ready light appears and if you’re having trouble getting the pouch to catch and start being pulled through the machine, take it out, adjust the angle, sometimes I flip the over to the back side and after a try or two I always get it to catch. Sometimes adjusting the tray on the back to more or less of an angle helps too. I ALWAYS laminate using the “5” never the “3”. If I’m laminating thicker paper I might run it through the machine twice to get a really good seal. If you’re cutting the laminate after it’s sealed, make sure you leave a border edge around the paper, you usually can see where seal exactly is if you look closely. If you cut the laminate directly against the paper, breaking that seal, the laminate will immediately peel off. I’m thrilled with this purchase and have used it a ton. I highly recommend if you read directions and follow them.

I loved this laminator. It did the job, until one day it just stopped working completely. I turned it on to heat up and halfway through, it just turned off and never turned back on again. I’ve only had this machine for about 3 years. I never used it extensively, only here and there, so I’m pretty disappointed that it didn’t last longer. Do yourselves a favor and just get the cheaper one. This is not worth the extra $10.

it worked well- i only use it for a few random things- nothing regularly. but just after 16 months it stopped turning on. the manufacturer only covers it for 1 year, so it just magically stops working just when the warranty is over.
