I usually purchase eco friendly walnut based sponges from an “online cleaning supply delivery” company but thought I’d try these out as I didn’t need to order a full box of cleaning supplies this time around. I found these at target and saw the walnut based ones for softer scrubbing and some recycled wood material ones for my heavy duty scrubbing. The sponge is fine but the top part that is covered in the wood fibers has turned dangerous! I’ve had the sponge in my sink for about a week and I’ve been stabbed in the fingers multiple times and even for a splinter in my pinky just now, needless to say I don’t like getting splinters while doing my dishes. I don’t aggressively scrub my non stick cookware because it specially says not too but I feel like I’m seeing some chipping in my nonstick cookware even from gently just wiping the sponge around it. It’s a bummer because my cookware isn’t cheap but lesson learned. I haven’t tried the walnut ones and I’d be open to that but I WOULD AVOID the wood fiber ones. I think they meant well with the concept but they’re dangerous!
These are fantastic if you'd like to destroy your non stick pots and pans! I tried these a couple of months ago and one after one use I lost a couple of hundred of dollars of Calphalon non stick pans. I didn't realize until they dried that they scraped the nonstick coating straight off. They claim to be non stick safe, so I feel this review is needed.

I get these at a local grocery and I love them as a more environmentally responsible alternative. But one must take into account that the responsibility does not end at the product, but also includes the packaging. So WHY are they packaged in plastic? I note a prior review made pretty much the same observation over three years ago. More than long enough to re-tool for boxes or something similar.

This is such a great product - it doesn't end up smelling because it is made from plant based material. Even though the scouring pad might not be as durable as the synthetic ones, it is still one of the best sponges I have bought.
These sponges are just fine, in the kitchen, but the bathroom is where they belong. I am using them for scrubbing myself, in the shower and bath. I don't think I've ever felt so clean. My skin feels like it is singing. I love these sponges!!!!! They're made from plants, so why not. Try these. You won't believe it!
I never knew these scrub sponges existed! So glad I found them at Target! Just did a sink load of dishes and I'm very pleased, will use continuously! Sad about all the plastic waste in our world, everyone should try these.
