Prepare the ground. Cut the existing rye grass down. Dethached the yard. Three days later after heavy rain. Went back over my yard with a rake to get the remaining dead grass up to much as possible bare dirt. Used two bags(5lbs) each over 1,000sq ft along with starter fertilizer. It’s been three weeks.....in VA and weather is between 80-90 degrees. With me watering and rain it’s getting plenty of water. Have very few small places it has grown.....but 85% of the yard is still bare. Now The potential for weeds developing is a concern.

I used this to fill in areas in my backyard which had been badly damaged in large spots due to our home remodel. Blended well with my existing bermuda, plus seem more dense. Scotts has always been my go-to product for grass seed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought this hoping to patch my bare spots on the lawn, unfortunately, nothing happened. The bare spots still bare. Very disappointing! Ended up paying for sods!

We are troubled to hear that Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Bermuda did not produce any new grass. Warm season grass types tend to perform best when temperatures remain in the 70-90°F range. Keep in mind that we offer a guarantee and that you can contact us at the following link to discuss it: http://tinyurl.com/mds8zo5

Seed did not work - 11 months ago
I bought this on September 23, 2018 and it's now than 6 weeks. Until now, there are no signs of grass sprouting despite adequate sunshine and watering. In fact, the blue color on the "seeds" have now faded. I hope that Scotts will help.

I recently had some trees removed, and where the skid steer tore up about a 10 foot section of my yard. I purchased 2- 1lb bags of scott's bermuda grass seed. I put it down and it started to grow great.. once it got high enough i realized that it is not bermuda grass.. and not sure what type of grass it is.. but it stands up straight and very fine, with long thin blades of grass.. so now i have a yard filled with bermuda, and this spot with the other grass.. i am so not impressed.. but my other issue is.. where i had 13 trees taken out and i spent hours , weeks, days.. getting it ready to put this stuff down.. that that too is not going to be bermuda. I cannot even find by googling what type of grass this is.. not a happy camper here.. after invest time, labor and money..for something that is not what it is said to be.

We're sorry that you're not pleased with the appearance of Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Bermudagrass. Your new grass may look different from your established turf because it's probably a different variety than what you currently have. This grass seed is called Gold Glove and it's an improved common variety of Bermuda. If you are unhappy with your purchase, you can reach us at http://tinyurl.com/mds8zo5 to discuss our product guarantee.

I used this to reseed a few bare areas in my yard. It was dead simple to spread and get it growing. Now those areas are looking nice and lush. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Used this in an area that had formerly been a garden. 12 x 24 It rained a lot so only had to water it once. . Spread well and has mixed in with the edges. (Almost tempted to tear up some of my other lawn so can use this.) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
