Use 3x seed, doesnt give dense coverage otherwise

Less than ideal coverage, really should use about 3x-4x coverage recomended on the package; I used jsut under 2x and while it looks good from far, it's far from good up close. A lot of seperateion between sprouts, it's been about 2 weeks, waited for temperatures to be ideal range, everything came up great, quickly, just not as dense as oe owuld prefer. I used scott starter fertilizer, scott lawnsoil (also not a top recomendation), but i should have gone with higher concentration. by contrast, I used 3x in a small space the front, was so happy with it I decided to use it for the backyard, but again, jsut really really thin. Seems they aren't promoting this blend, perhaps this is why. I have pictures below, in case you are wondering, the bird net is about 4 inches above the top o the grass blade.

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Perennial Ryegrass Mix and appreciate your feedback. You should start seeing germination in 6-14 days under ideal growing conditions, but will take about a month for all the seed to germinate. We recommend mowing the grass short and rake or de-thatch the area to remove dead grass and loosen exposed soil prior to applying. This Grass Seed will germinate best when temperatures are consistently in the 65-80-degree F range. Lawn seed should be watered daily or as needed to keep the soil moist for at least 3 weeks or until seedlings reach 2 inches in height. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience, please reach out to us at 888-270-3714 if we can further assist.

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Turf Builder Grass Seed Perennial Ryegrass Mix and appreciate your feedback. For best results, this product should be applied when daytime temperatures are consistently above 65℉, making the soil temperatures at least 55℉. In the spring, it takes a lot of consistent warm temperatures to warm up the soil. Cool nighttime temperatures can delay the germination process even if warm enough during the day. Germination should begin in 6-14 days under ideal growing conditions and will take about a month to fully germinate. Both excessive moisture and not enough moisture can inhibit seed germination. Weed control product used on sew seedlings will kill seedlings. Do not apply a weed control that is registered for lawn use until it has been cut at least 3-4 times. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience, please reach out to us at 888-270-3714 if we can further assist.

The grass seed germinated in only 5 days!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Receiving this grass seed was timely, as I had multiple bare spots in my lawn that required reseeding. I prepared the areas with some new top soil, generously applied the seed with a Scott’s hand held spreader, then lightly raked into the soil. I kept the areas well watered, without much help from Mother Nature. The seed has germinated in only 5 days! It’s coming in nicely. I highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seeds dispensed easily. It was easy to see if the seeds didn’t get covered by mulch material. It took about a week to sprout. I pulled some out to do a dissection of growth. The roots seemed to spread out fast to anchor them to the soil. Stem growth was about 1.5 in in 14 days.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always prefer Scott grass seeds as they grow faster when compared to the other brands and they are very effective. This Rye grass perennial seeds are easy to use and has a lot of nutrients required for establishing quickly. After seeding I watered the area lightly so that the soil wouldn’t be too dry. I saw the baby grass growing in no time. I love this and I definitely recommend it.
