Q: I'm wanting to put a plant in this. Is it okay to put soil in, or will water ruin the basket? I don't know if there is holes in the basket, or if it's just a thin material. Can someone please answer these question, thanks!

A: The opening is 13-14" wide. The widest part of the middle of the basket is 19". The basket feels very large inside.

It’s flimsy and doesn’t sit up good like in the picture. I wanted to use it for kids toy storage for their room but it just isn’t good for that. Not sure what I would recommend it be used for. The paint looks very cheap and keeps chipping off onto the floor. I just received this a few days ago and even in the box upon receiving it the paint had been chipping.

The opening of the basket is about 13-14" and the widest part in the middle is 19". The upper half is quite floppy/flexible, but the bottom half holds its shape quite well. The bottom is constructed so that it is more firm, so while the top and opening have some character, it is still stable and sits nicely. It is very spacious inside. I can easily stuff in 4 throw-size fleece blankets (the top half holds its shape much better when stuffed with blankets). You can grab the two handles and bring them together to hold with one hand, like a big market bag. I will say that the handles are plenty adequetely sized, but they aren't as huge as in the product photo. As far as sturdiness and quality, it definitely has a lot of character and a handmade feel that is purposeful. It fits that boho-minimalist look that I was going for. While I don't think it would last long if my kids decided to rough house with it, it seems sturdy enough for regular use. Mine arrived without any breaks in the weave or other flaws. There is variation in the color of the materials, and it doesn't have a "perfect" shape, but that is the look. I'm very happy with it and plan to buy another in a smaller size to complement it. This would look equally fabulous in a nursery stuffed with blankets or stuffies as it would in a living area filled with balls of yarn or blankets. I've included photos with my review showing it next to my minivan and with a gallon of milk just to show the scale.
