Do you need a queen size guest bed that is comfortable for when friends and family stay over but don't want to commit the space in your guest bedroom for an actual mattress set? The Serta EZ Bed with Never Flat technology solves this dilemma by giving you a comfortable queen bed with frame for when you need it and stows away in a compact duffel for when you don't. Never Flat eliminates the sagging that is so common in airbeds and the self-deploying frame makes setup and take down a breeze. Never Flat technology is an auto-engaging, whisper quiet pump that maintains constant air pressure throughout the night for an undisturbed, continuous night's rest that is never flat. Choose your desired comfort level and, once inflated, the Secondary Pump continuously monitors and senses when it needs to silently engage in order to maintain the chosen comfort level throughout the night. The powerful, integrated Primary pump enables effortless inflation and deflation of the air bed and the automatic shut-off feature turns the Primary Pump once the bed is fully inflated or deflated, allowing you to turn on the pump and walk away without worrying about the pump getting damaged. To deploy, unzip the duffel bag using the flaps to gauge where the bed will deploy. Plug in and turn on Primary Pump and bed will deploy onto flaps. To take down, set Primary Pump to deflate. Once pump disengages, push deflated mattress towards pump, zip up duffel and you're done.
ThIs item performed as listed. It was easy to set up and take down. Our guests stated the mattress was comfortable. The sides of the mattress were a little higher that the center but not enought to make one feel like you were rolling to the middle all nite. It does have some weight with the metal frame,so the sheels are terrific for moving the folded item to storage. My only concern is how long the mattress will last. I have not had a lot of luck with air mattresses lasting any longer than 18 months. For this price I hope it last longer than that.
The item came in the box, with no wrapping whatsoever. It was not covered in plastic and it is obvious that someone had used it from the lint on the actual mattress once we opened it. We will most likely return as I do not feel comfortable spending 249.99 on a used bed. Not sanitary, not what I expect from Target at all.
No air leaks or indication that we've wasted our money. I recommend it for the occasional guest...but if you have frequent visitors that stay at your place just invest in a real mattress. We don't need a permanent guest bed in our house so I like how I can store this one away when not in use. Of course, even closed up it takes up a little more storage space than I had anticipated but it's not a big deal. The different comfort settings (firm, medium, or plush) were very helpful in allowing our guests to adjust for the support they preferred. It was a little pricey in my opinion but regardless it's been a good investment so far...
My wife and I slept on the Serta Air Matress for three straight nights to evaluate the quality for potential guest. My back never felt better. I never heard the quiet never flat pump reinflate the matress, however it never lost it firmness. The raised sides kept me from rolling off the bed as my wife chose her half in the middel of the bed. This matress packages up nicely for storage and quickly inflates and deflates when our house guest decide to spend the stay over. I just purchased another one for my daughter as a permanent bed in her apartment... much easier for Dad to move and store when she chooses to move again.
