Description
The Serta Raised Air Mattress with Never Flat technology makes getting into and out of bed easier and is your solution for a bed on the go. Able to maintain its pressure throughout the night, Never Flat eliminates sagging and loss of air pressure that is so common in airbeds. Never Flat technology is an auto-engaging, whisper quiet pump that maintains constant air pressure throughout the night for an undisturbed, continuous night's rest that is never flat. Choose your desired comfort level -- Plush, Medium, or Firm -- and let the powerful primary pump inflate the bed. Once inflated, the secondary pump continuously monitors and senses when it needs to silently engage in order to maintain the chosen comfort level throughout the night. The powerful, integrated primary pump enables effortless inflation and deflation of the airbed and the automatic shut-off feature turns off the primary pump once the bed is fully inflated or deflated, allowing you to turn on the pump and walk away without worrying about the pump getting burned out. The integrated nightlight offers visibility at night, and the built-in USB port conveniently charges your phone or tablet while keeping it at your side overnight. Store the air bed in the convenient carry bag for your next overnight guest.

Q: I absolutely love my mattress, but it has a leak. It deflates within in a few hours of use. I can't seem to pinpoint the location of the leak as it makes no noticeable leak hiss/sound. Is there anything that can be done? Thanks!
submitted by signe - 5 years ago
A: Mine started to leak as well I finally noticed the air was escaping from the side of the plastic part that's right next to the knob to inflate it. I hope this makes sense but that's where the air leaked and I don't believe anything can be done I put flex tape over the plastic and it still deflates nt going to lie but it does take around 12+ hours to get noticeably deflated.
submitted byelle - 5 years ago
A: Mine did as well around the pump where the knob is. Not sure how I found this out but the pump right there snaps into some plastic pieces on the inside of the bed. I will say that once it comes off the first time, it is more likely to keep happening. Mine developed small holes from the never flat system after about 2 years so it was no longer covered under warranty. I’ve also seen many complaints about the circular dips in the bed coming apart as well.

A: Hi signe - thanks for the question! The Serta Never Flat Raised Air Mattress comes with a two year limited warranty. Please refer to the packaging for warranty information. You could also try to pinpoint the leak by using a spray bottle with a small amount of dish soap - look for bubbles. Once found, you can use the repair kit included with your mattress to patch the hole. We recommend wiping up the residue and allowing to dry completely before storing your bed. Hope that helps!

Q: What is the best way to fold up mattress for storage after use?
submitted by Lori - 1 year ago
A: Hi Lori, thanks for your question! The best way to pack the air mattress up after use:
- Deflate with the pump until it turns off automatically.
- Fold the bed in approximate thirds, along the length of the bed.
o With the pump at your feet, fold the left third of the bed over, pulling so the edge overlaps the pump, aligning with the internal cord storage.
o Then fold the right side of the bed over that, pulling until it aligns with the far left of the pump housing.
- Then proceed to fold the bed, from the end opposite the pump. Folds should be at approximately 18in, or so you obtain five folds, ending with the mattress folded cleanly on top of the pump housing.
- The bed can then be stored in included carry bag.

Q: I have this mattress on order for camping. I need to know how many watts the primary pump draws while filling and then wattage draw of the Never Flat pump to determine which inverter to purchase. TY!
submitted by STlicious - 1 year ago
A: Hi STlicious, thanks for your question! The NeverFlat pump requires 120 voltage, AC 1.1 ampere, and 130 wattages. Hope this helps to answer your question.

Q: SInce the matress is 18 inches high, will 16 inch pocket sheets stay secure. There's very few 18" sheets out there!
submitted by need2no - 2 years ago
A: Hi need2no, thanks for your question. Since the mattress is 18 inches high, regular 16 inch fitted sheets may ride up on the bed. We recommend looking for sheets that have "deep or extra deep pockets" so they can securely fit, especially if a mattress topper is being added, which would increase the overall height. Most deep pocketed sheets allow for 18 inch mattresses, and extra deep allow for 18-24 inch mattress heights. If you search deep or extra deep sheet sets on Target's site, it looks like there's a pretty good variety available. Hope this helps in your search! :)

Q: What sheets can you use with this mattress since it's 18 inches high? Also what size matress pad can one use?
submitted by need2no - 2 years ago
A: Hi need2no, thanks for your questions! We recommend using a queen mattress pad & queen fitted sheet with a deep or extra deep pocket. Please check the pad & sheet set specifications to ensure fit. Hope this helps to answer your questions!

Q: The internal pump that is supposed to be quiet is very noisy. Any suggestions as to why this happens. I had to turn it off because of the noise in the middle of the night.
submitted by bndt - 2 years ago
A: Hi BNDT, thanks for reaching out regarding your Serta Never Flat Raised Air Mattress with Electric Pump. While the pump does have a dull hum if plugged in, it shouldn't be excessively loud. The noise that it puts out should be between 15-30 decibels, whereas a normal pump runs at about 90-95 decibels. If you feel your pump is louder than the 30 dB threshold, please contact our Customer Service team by calling 1-800-736-8592. Hope this answer helps you!

Q: Does it have a battery pack built in so we don't have to have it plugged into the wall? We want to use it for camping. Thank you
submitted by Michael S - 2 years ago
A: Hi Michael S - thanks for your interest in the Serta Never Flat Raised Air Mattress with Electric Pump. This airbed doesn't have a built in battery pack. If you're using at a camp site, you'll need access to AC power or an AC car adapter. Hope this helps to answer your question!

Q: I really like the Serta Neverflat Air mattress BUT mine had turned into a pancake. Now it has love handles and the queen fitted sheets no longer fit. I only weigh 120lbs so I wonder why it did this. Will king sheets fit?
submitted by Nikki - 3 years ago
A: Hi Nikki, thanks for the question. Please give us a call if you think you may be experiencing a warranty issue at (800) 325-4121 or outdoor@exxel.com. We would like to hear more about the love handles you are describing. We recommend purchasing queen sheets with an extra-deep pocket to fit the double height. Hope that helps!
I’ve had this mattress for 10 years! Purchased it at Target. It’s been a wonderful mattress! Easy to use and amazing quality! I’ve slept on it many times and so have many guests. Recently, the pump separated and air was leaking out. I used a hot glue gun to seal the pump air leak but the Auto pump isn’t working so the mattress is deflating more with 2 adults sleeping on it. I don’t recall the mattress deflating so quickly. There could be other very small leaks. Wish there was a way to just replace the pump. Little kids could get by with its current state but not an adult. I’ll likely be purchasing a new one bummer the prices have jumped! :(

Air mattress seems like it would be good in theory but is awful. The never flat pump runs constantly and it STILL can’t keep up so you have an annoying buzz right by your head and still have to use the main pump. Don’t know how to get my money back since this is literally the “best” one they sell and everything cost less. Do yourself favor and buy the $50 one with external pump.

Had this air mattress for about a year. Everything was great but prob after 6 uses, it started to leak air from the actual built in air pump. Nothing you can really do from that point.

Bed is good and fine, but literally can’t use it because the never flat pump sounds like a dirt bike running, and if the sound isn’t bad enough, it vibrates the whole lower half of the bed.

I bought this product in January of 2023 and it is now May of 2023. I purchased this item because I moved into a new apartment. The mattress is easy to set up, as different comfort settings, USB charger and plugs into the wall so the motor can keep the mattress inflated to the specified comfort. I do like this product and it has lasted for awhile. I've never had an air mattress before this one and I am impressed. Which is why I am sad to say it recently (maybe the very ending of April), I noticed it felt different. I wake up and it is considerably deflated. Now I have the motor on constantly and I'm frustrated because I cannot find where the leak is. Anyways, it's on its way out. I do recommend this item but do not expect it to last very long, as far as a place to sleep goes.
This mattress is heavier and more durable than I anticipated. We've used raised air mattresses before and they were somewhat flimsy. We also have a cat, and after leaving this inflated for a few days with her around, it seems to be holding up to her paws/claws which is nice. We've lost many air mattresses to the cat simply walking and stretching on them. I am 6'1 and my husband is tall too, so it didn't fit both of us comfortably, but for a couple of smaller adults or for children, its a great air mattress.
Such a great quality air mattress. It's a queen size so it's huge and can fit more than one person or a larger one comfortably. It's also very durable and with the covering on top, it's much more comfortable than a standard air mattress. It inflates quickly and has all it's own functions and you can even set to your desired firmness. Absolutely love this mattress for traveling, company, or the kids' sleepovers.

Serta Never Flat Raised Air Mattress with Electric Pump
Luxury queen mattress. Easy to set up with the built in pump. Deflating was easy to do. Very comfortable mattress. Will work great for extra guests staying overnight and also for camping. Would definitely recommend.
The mattress inflated very quickly. I rested on it for a while and was surprised at how comfortable it was; much better than the last time I used an air mattress. It deflated very quickly with the pump. Let's see how it holds up over time.
I like that this air mattress has a carrying case and is easily inflated by plugging it in. It has 3 settings for soft, medium and firm and an off position if you don’t want it to inflate automatically when it starts to lose air. It inflated in just under 2 minutes. The problem is the horrible chemical paint odor which was headache inducing. Hopefully the offgassing will air out over time but just be aware that you might need to let it air out before use. It also has a USB charging port and a blue LED light switch, although I’m not sure how powerful it would be in the middle of the night.
I received the Serta Never Flat 18-inch raised Queen air mattress in exchange for my honest review. I love this thing. It's beyond comfortable and has no weird chemical scent that so many air beds have. I really like that it has an added antimicrobial protection and a two year warranty. It is queen size, soft and super plush on the top surface and it even has a USB charging point as well as four different comfort settings!! The pump silently monitors and maintains air pressure throughout the night. You can set it and forget it. The bed is very comfortable and actually has a small lift around the corner which is very different than other air mattresses which just kind of lay flat and fall down. This inflatable mattress with internal AC pump makes blowing up a three minute process! It is super comfortable and I absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an extra bed for guests! The idea that it has a sensor that keeps it inflated the whole time and has the smart sense technology totally wins for me! Super comfortable and quiet!!
This seems like a decent air mattress. The top fabric is very soft, and the raised height is nice and makes it very comfortable. Everything you need is included in a nice oversized bag, so you can actually fit it all back in! Easy to inflate and deflate. It even has a USB plug to charge your phone!

Had the mattress for a little under 2 years. Maybe used once a month indoors on a carpeted rug. First year it worked relatively fine. After that it started to deflate more and more throughout the night. This morning I woke up to my guest practically sleeping on the floor. This wasn't a cheap mattress. I can't find a warrantee. I can't find a noticeable hole or leak but plan to look more thoroughly later today.

Bed makes a loud buzzing noise when comfort adjust is on. You pay a premium price and there is zero chance for someone to sleep on this air mattress if you try to use the advertised features. Very disappointed and you can’t return as the sticker said exchange only.
The Serta Never Flat Raised Air Mattress is a luxury air mattress. Thick and plush, with a built in pump make it easy to inflate quickly and without issues. Deflating was super easy too. One to two minutes tops to inflate or deflate and no need to go searching for a pump. I tried the medium setting which was a little firmer than I expected, but still comfortable. Slept well. The never flat feature worked well, came on once during the night, but did make noise that I didn’t sleep through, although it was only about a minute, but not as noiseless as expected. The usb plug and the nightlight features are nice extras. Overall, this is a great air mattress for camping or overnight guests. I just took off one star for the noise from the never flat feature, perhaps I’m just a light sleeper, but it was enough to wake me. Overall, I’d highly recommend this mattress.
