As other reviewers mentioned, these are NOT room darkening. I wasn’t purchasing for that purpose, so it wasn’t a problem for me; I like having the light filtering through in my living room. The top section is not white as appears in photo (I bought the light gray), but more of a lighter gray/linen color. I ordered two sets for windows set close together and had no issues with the color-blocking not matching up. Overall I’m pleased with these curtains, especially for the price!
The first time I purchased these, I was thrilled. They looked just great BUT they are essentially sheers. So I ordered another set of white blackout curtains so I could keep them but double the price. Then I realized that I needed another set to complete the window and ordered it. THAT was my problem-different dye lot- different seamstress so the colors AND the stripes didn't match. I don't know what I am going to do because I love the drapes. I threw out the wrappings on the first set of drapes AND the black out drapes. I guess I am going to try to see if I can make them work by switching things around.
