Hit the water in as little as five minutes with the Sevylor Quikpak K5 1-Person Kayak, where getting to your next trek is as easy as backpack - unpack - kayak. The innovative backpack system carries everything you need to get going and ultimately folds out into your kayak's seat. The 24-gauge PVC construction, rugged tarpaulin bottom and thick polyester cover easily handle the rigors of the lake. Just in case you do hit a snag, the multiple air chambers will help you get back to shore. Spray covers help keep you dry from splashed water. The D-Rings and bungee storage areas let you carry more gear on your trip that's easily accessible.
I researched and looked at many inflatable kayaks. I am a small woman. It was difficult to transport a traditional kayak. I just took the K5 on a maiden voyage yesterday. I loved it! It inflated and deflated quickly. It is stable and tracks great! I am so excited to be able to take this kayak to any lake I desire. It is a great design. I am so happy I purchased it!
Tried my new K5 for the first time this weekend. Worked great! Easy to carry. Quick easy setup and take down. Good quality, durable. Does not track quite as well as a hard shell kayak but not bad. We’ve had a Sevylor raft we use in the river for over 15 years so I knew I could trust the quality.
Purchased 4 of these. Did a bunch of research reading reviews and kayak blogs. Took them out to a local lake today to test them out. Truly these inflate and are ready for water in less than 10 minutes. Pack away easily. The kayaks are comfortable. Compared to hard kayaks these are a bit different - they move with you so balance is key. Paddaling is also different - the kayaks are more responsive so you have to paddle a bit shallower so your craft doesn't turn back and forth. Got used to these two things quickly. Packing them into water area - I would test 36 pounds in a pack. The packs are comfortable but we are all adults. Kids or young adults might have a hard time with the weight. Really like them and the convenience of the inflatable.
