Q: How quiet is this machine, from a 1-5, 5 being the noisest?

A: The machine has four purify settings. On settings 1-2, the sound is barely noticeable (I’d rank it a 1). On settings 3-4, it is loud like a white noise machine and can be difficult to hear others if the machine is within 5 feet (I’d rank it a 5).

Q: Is this machine recommended to reduce offgassing from Kilz primer being used indoors? Small area but next to kitchen & it has overpowered the entire home (application was yesterday)

A: We would like to know that we haven’t done any specific offgassing testing, but for maximum product performance, we recommend using the highest fan speed.

We purchased this mainly for the winter months to help prevent sickness in the house. No set up required, you just take it out of the box, plug it in and turn it on. We just leave it on auto and go about our lives. It’s so quiet, I rarely notice it when it’s on. It’s fairly large, but covers up to 1200 square feet. We keep it on the opposite side of the house from the kitchen and it kicks on every time we use the stove top! Our house smells significantly fresher- and there’s no lingering smells from the kitchen. Just like every other shark products I own- it’s high quality material and works incredibly well!! We plan on purchasing another one for our basement. We absolutely love and recommend!!!

This is the best air purifier I ever owned. It's actually my second unit and is for large master bedroom. The first unit takes care of the dining room and living room. I have another competitors purifier on lower level of raised ranch but I actually prefer Shark as number 1.

Doesn't appear to functional as it says it does. Comparing to another air purifier side by side and it doesn't show the accurate information regarding the PM numbers. Disappointed in the Shark brand!

I received our Shark Air Purifier (HP202) last week and have been happy with the results so far. It was easy to set-up, and it appears to be functioning properly. My only concern right now is the replacement filters are out of stock. I was planning on buying an extra filter when I bought the purifier so I had it on hand when it was needed in the future. I hope the filters are restocked soon, and getting a replacement doesn't become an issue.

The Shark Clean Air is a solid air purifier. It looks great and is super easy to use, with multiple fan speeds and a smart sensor that adjusts based on air quality. The HEPA filter does a great job of catching allergens, perfect if you have allergies. Maintenance is pretty straightforward-just replace the filter every few months, and you're good to go. It's not the quietest option, but it definitely improves the air in your home. Overall, it's a great choice for cleaner air!

As some reviews have mentioned, this air purifier does not work. I purchased two to compare and both remained at 100% clean air the entire time. I had the same air purifier previously and it stopped working, so this was a replacement. Same product, but completely and disappointedly very different in operation. The first air purifier would turn on at the slightest scent of food, candles and even when blow drying my hair. These two…100% clean air. Useless. Waste of time and money. Both returned. Invest is a quality product. Would def not recommend this product.

I never really was into air purifiers. But, I like to entertain and I cook a lot with things like onion and garlic. I put one in the area kind of near my kitchen and it makes a big difference. The filter lasts pretty long too. Overall great choice!

I'm sure the product is great, but I received a nasty one that was already used. I filed a complaint and returned it. I was so disappointed. I'll probably buy one elsewhere, because I really want one still. I would have thought that target would have done something to make up for having to drive 35 miles to return it.

Efficient air purifier that gets the job done. I own a couple of these for different areas of the house. The smaller version for my bedroom has been great over the last year for a person like me that suffers with allergies all year around. Decided to take the leap and get this one for the living room area and it holds up to the space. The air is noticeably cleaner than before it’s no longer stuffy and I love the auto function for when I am cooking it will adjust the speed of cleaning to eliminate lingering food odors.

Bought a unit in April by July it had quit. Called Shark told them the issue they replaced it with a new unit that covered more square footage then an old unit at no cost under warranty. Come to find out the old unit we had was no longer being made. No issues with the new unit. Shipping was fast.

I purchased this air purifying unit 3 weeks ago and I noticed a difference immediately; no more stuffy nose and watery eyes at or near bedtime. Our air was 69% when our unit arrived and it's been at 100% every day since set up.
